no worries...be patient and you will find one which suits your taste and price... =)

took me a year before I plunged my money into the Best Used Car of the Year

This car I've already seen..good condition but owner always accompanied by a loudmouth car dealer who does all the talking. When I called,he claimed that its a personal sale but when I got there, the loudmouth dealer finally admitted to being a dealer.
Wouldn't budge from his price..had to go via the dealer to deal, which pissed me off a little.

But car is in good condition.Worth it if the price is right..but not at rm125k la

Never mind bro. Look here, technically the advertisement was posted in 2009. Now is already 2010. By right the price will drop by a further 10%. I don't think he will manage to sell the car yet. If you really like the car, let's wait until after CNY. That's where the price adjustment will take effect. No wonder the guy won't budge from the original price. This time around let's go together-gether. I'll bring along my diagnostic tool. We tekan the price sumore. What do you say?

Wow it seems if you buy an E39 M-Sport 2 years back, you can actually make some money selling it now?

IMHO when E60 was first launched the price for E39 dropped like mad. Now E60 is flooding the market. Almost every Thomas, Dickson and Harry is driving one. As time goes by, E39 proved to be more reliable and dependable. There is good demand for this car but the supply is very limited. Reason being, most owners like myself don't want to upgrade especially if the owner owns a 525i or 530i. Very, very difficult to find nowadays. It's starting to become like E36 325i.

Whichever comes first..i don't hv a year to search cuz I'll be left with a solitary Myvi once I sell off the e60.

Someone might sell his 330i..still waiting for word from him.My mk6 Golf Gti is due to arrive in march.

We'll see how things go..

There's a thing called 'delayed gratification'. Sabar bang, sabar. Don't make stupid mistake this time. I am monitoring you.

Delayed gratification? Kalau tunggu for a Porsche tu ok la..and I wudn't call buying a 3er or a Golf GTi 'a mistake'.

All my car purchases are compromises..cuz I can't afford cars that I REALLY WANT.But like everyone else,u make the best with what u have, which,at this moment would be getting an e39 for a bargain(relatively la). This is where u come in Mav..since u're one of the e39 experts.

So do ur magic bro ;)

Ride was fantastic on the 17s,which I think is a perfect combination to the Msport suspension. It does seem to run out of puff as u approach the upperbands but that is expected in a TD.U don't hv to extend a TD that far as that humongous amount of torque is available just above tickover.Simply effortless.

Mav,u know how I drive..I think u need to recalibrate ur senses la bro..hahaha!

On a more serious note,it is a tad expensive and way over my self enforced budget. But life is short..u know the rest.

The one I tried was a normal spec. Steering damn light. Didn't feel like the wheel was touching the road. I wanted to convert my fellow passengers to BMW but I failed miserably. The only thing that impressed them was the fuel consumption.

If you like the car, angkat saja la. 2.38% CNY special rate. After that kasi remapping sikit. From 177bhp becomes 208 bhp. Torque increase from 350NM to 410NM.

Haha..nice pic.

Now I see what u mean..non-Msport rupanya, patut la floaty. No need to recalibrate la in that case.

Yup,remap should yield those figures but not with Euro2M..kalau nak remap kena tunggu Euro4M next year la.Plus, need to beef up the cooling side of the engine and also need to strengthen the turbo manifold.
Kalau tak silap BMW Performance pun ada offer a boost up kit for the 320d which includes a remap, bigger intercooler and water pump.

E39 amcam?? Adoi susah nak cari la menatang nih..

Local should be CKD but not to sure 530i got local assembly last time.

I'm on the verge of buying an E39 530i sport, because unexpectedly I'll be going back to Malaysia later this year for good. Anyone have any idea how much import tax under student AP would be?

I'm looking at a 2003 530i M-Sport. Would this be much more than a 525i, which someone told me he paid 26k to bring back in June '09.

I'll check with MITI tomorrow (todays sunday so cant call them but anxious to know)

E60 m sport import tax alone would be in the region of 60-80k, plus the original price of the car which at least £13,000. You can get one non m-sport for under £8,000, but only m-sport would do for me.

I am a student, which means I'm poor so even getting an E39 is good enough for me. Price of the car, including import tax would be around RM60k which means if I go back without a car i would be getting a Persona for the same money.

And the most important factor, I'm more E39 person than an E60 one. I just think its more refined.
