Just got my E46 today yr 01. Got it from a used car dealer...it had clocked 95k km....not too sure about previous service histroy...last service record was shown on the book...done at AB around 45k.

Need to ask all seniors at this forum any good recommendations for workshop other than AB.....there are a few choices around such as M Tech, SS2, Stuggart, Heritage...can someone point me to the right directions...thanks.

Brought my e36 to MSpeed after having many months of heartache with starting problems. Three other workshops which I brought my car to with the similar problem, suggested other remedies which I did not buy into. After 5 minutes of pondering over my problem AhMeng/John solved it. It was a faulty fuel regulator. Damage was RM320.

MSpeed has my vote. Will need to try Heritage next.

Cheers

that's AutoTecnika in SS2. It's not a workshop but an accessory shop for BMW's.

"Benz and Bimmer Auto" workshop
-----------------------------------------------

This workshop just opened a few doors away from Jason Foo's Optimum Automotive in Damansara.

Anyone tried it before? How is the quality of service and price?
Hi,

Can someone give me direction/phone no/address of Optimum workshop in PJ? Thanks!

B)

To GASwombat
Yup, i send my car regularly there. The owner, Kenny/AhSum is quite friendly and mostly able to do simple job up until major engine/tranny overhaul.

Labour cheap.. sometimes minor2 thing no charge at all.

I can recommend any forummer to try out

kacyp,

the one in ampang, at corner lot house is in taman dagang.
the owner is Man. or Man bmw.

from jln ampang, turn right into tmn dagang after the de palma traffic light.

hi...this is my story about a good workshop but not so good service..since On the first day I own a bmw(e30) I used to go to ultimate (batu caves) for anything related to my e30...cheap or expensive, this is the only workshop I know for years...cos I'm leaving outside KL so this is the nearest I could access from hiway without so much traffic jam. At that time(few years back) everyone seem so helpful & friendly, I know everybody by name, sometimes i know they charged me quiet high (RM25 service charge for replacing rubber seal on each wiper while the seal only cost RM9 each & also DIY) but they are my friends..so i pay them with respect...tak kisahlah, yang penting kawan right? But since last year, as many of their customers drove e34/e36/e46 etc....i feel like tidak dipedulikan...One day, as usual I went for servicing my e30, since I'm not from KL I had to take leave just to get my car done. By 9.00 am I already stood infront of their shop, waiting for the door to be open (I do that every time ) and they do one car after another..leaving me behind, sadly I'm the last (6.30 pm), and it happen to me not once...it seem like they don't do e30 anymore...so I get fedup & boiled...& chow la..macam la kita tak bayar..its your service & my money...if you don't want my money....then I'l go to another workshop!!
But to be fair, there's one guy there named Mutalib, he's very good...(Talib, if you read this, you know who I am....sorry bro) I have to tell my story, so you guy jangan pandang e30 sebelah mata walaupun dah kaya....okey?

Your story could be the plot for the next big Bollywood movie .........we've already got the hero and the evil mechanic gang and their repentant insider (Mutalib)......now all we need is a strict father in-law, a bumbling idiot sidekick, a gorgeous chick with jus a hint of tummy flab typical of hindi movies, and a twin brother inadvertantly separated a birth who chose the path as a police inspector and now makes a living of putting evil mechanics out of business.

But seriously, I emphatize. I got the same treatment at my regular accessory shop......I was out-done by this jinjang looking guy (nose-picking extended fingernail, blonde hair, Modern Talking ringtone, etc.) with his gorgeous new E90, even though I was there much earlier!!! Apparently his money was worth more than mine.
I tell you what helps though.....bring a cute chick along.....I'm serious! And if you're in Penang, bring a cute chick that speaks and curses in Hokkien. You'll get all the attention you'll need. If that fails, bring a obnoxious drunk midget who speaks and curses in Hokkien. That will surely get you their attention.

Yes I've bin down dat road of frustration too over my last 30 years of motoring.
Da motor repair industry consists primarily of small biznesses, so wat u expect of their customer care policies -just not a whole lot and dat way u'll save a lotta pain.
Just move on to others; most don't kno how to show gratitude or understand and appreciate customer loyalty (so no reason to b loyal rite?), then they wonder their biz not booming like other industries.
Have u ever had a mech/workshop thank u for the year's biz u gave them? Few do but most don't even bother to kno your name or what u do for a living. They'd rather die than greet u "good morning" or wish u a happy new year! Not rude, but just ill-mannered. :D
So move on & happy hunting, dudes! :D

dude ...

U want the boss hp ? Complain to him, direct ? mention the names - of those that made u waiting ...

If they dun buckle up - I agree with you. Find another workshop. I am sure other shops can and will appreciate your money.
