dude...i read tht post but wht do u recommend?
wht would u advice to c-square?
as for me,i'm pretty happy at the moment with my stock jap(white surrounds on the headlights) lights and an aftermarket foglights which kinda gives my foglights a HID kinda hue too! ;)
but given the chance(and the cash),i would definately get a set of HID's!
waiting for my mate to return from kyoto with my HID's! :D :D :D
but in august though!

taiko tyke...
wa hmm zai wor.. I can only confirm on e36 98' model..the rest got to get some input from other taikos..:D

tyke, N2, saat....thanks dudes.....mabbee me go to ph auto this weekend :).....mabbee.......

tyke c u at tt...bring the plate thingy ok ...1 nos. only :)

omigosh....phallic symbols!! Is this allowed?....hmmm H4 looks like the biggest ....9004 and 9007 osso looks kinda 'up-standing ' too....

Hey thks strider dude....nah, was just thinking of going for 55w H3 for fogs...just wanna go brighter but not hotter (hence 55w whcihc i believe is standard wattage)....i dunno if the silverstars are available in that spec....havent been able to go to ph auto yet...mabbee after cny...

Correct me if i'm wrong sifus,

Those coding (H1, H3, H4 etc) are for the physical design of the bulb not the brightness of the bulb. The brightness of the bulb will be coded seperately such as 55W, 90W etc.

Therefor if the base of your reflector are H1, then only H1 bulb can be used (for PnP)

9004...9007...refers to the kelvin(?) output of the bulb....it determines the colour of the light (among toher things) ...blueish ...white etc..

I'm just after stock standard yellow kaler...I dunno the details but I am certain H3 is for fogs and 55w is standard wattage...and kaler will be yellow....the silverstars are supposed to be brighter for the given output....

At the moment i'm using Ruenn Fwe brand H1 55W that will produced 85W equivalent light output (claimed) made in Korea if I'm not mistaken. It will produced more whitish light with a slight warm color (slight yellow) (good in rain i guest). Cost me RM135 per pair.

hey guys.... thanks for all the info. Was introduced by a good friend the Phillips BlueVision bulb which is 55W but emits out an intensity equivalent to a 100W. Was told, since it is a 55W bulb, it shouldn't prematurely burn our stock wires. The set back is that the cost is on a high side.

Well, dun kip us in suspense. How much > Korean PnP?

Err, btw I thot light brillance wuz measured in lumens/ candlelite power & not wattage?

Was recentlygiven a set of H4 and H1 Philips Bluevision headlamp bulbs, quite a good spread of light on low and hi beam. According to the box it came in, the light intensity is 5000k, nearly HID territory... Coming soon hopefully!

Fellas,

Has anyone here tried the Philips CrystalVision range ? Are they any good ? Am planning ditch the Yellow-ish stocks on my E36. Not keen to upgrade to HIDs (yet) till we know what the RTD is planning to do with it ...

Some comments / suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
