glad that you're fine ...the road must had been spiked by the towing guys with oil ...just try to look into your front mirror if there is signs of oil sprayed from the car infront of you ....or any other places around the car ...if there is then it's them and no two way about it ...

indeed seen cars just loose control even on straight road like federal highway .... no need to wait for a sharp bend etc etc ...

If i may ask, what model were you driving?

The highly acclaimed safety feature of the car couldnt correct the error?

bro Litebulb, i drove e46 2.2 Jap spec...like bro tIANcI said, no matter how advanced the technology is, sometimes it wont help in certain circumstances..

RWD car is prone to skid especially wet road and wider tyre(irregardless brand of tyre). 80kmh on sharp bend and wet road is fast.
Even on striaght road I drive slow in wet and rains. I dun wan to take risk something I cant control. Yup driver training is good and I wish to join when permit. Drive safe and hope your ride damage is not that bad. At least u r safe and that is more important

bro initialM, i realized 80kmh is fast enuff to loose traction on sharp bend+wet road after the accident bro..hehehe..thanks for the concern bro, yea im totally fine..

Indeed bro, I'm only on 225 but when it rains you can feel the back swaying and ASC/DSC doing its thing, this is around 80 -100kph.

Bro IBM, sorry to hear this. Hope it is not that bad..

Sifu aidilj, datz the exact feeling i had before i slammed on the concrete divider bro..the back was swaying..if it can happen even on 225, den my 255 surely wud hv went on the flow..no worries sifu, thanks for the concern...

For me, 80km/h during rainy days considered fast dy.... I am sorry to hear your story.... At least the important thing is you are safe bro and learn the lesson :)

Hopefully your car will be back to its Pristine condition

i was only doing about 60kmh alongside the subang clocktower turning into the underpass below federal highway. the E34's backside was not easy to catch when it was obvious there was a substantial amount of oil on the road mid-bend. just thankful no other vehicle was alongside me at the time.. yes, they do indeed place hazards on roads to induce accidents.

bro mizhan, hell yeah..really thankful no other vehicles nearby in my case as well..if it was really my carelessness, dun wish others to be hurt..hazards on roads to induce accidents, true enuff...in the name of "cari makan"..dono wat sort of cari makan is dat till these people are willing to risk other's life..selfishness

I am sorry to hear your story bro, even 60kmh also not good for 225 or 235 bro its happen to me while driving from JB last week but nothing happen thank god. during rainy days be extra carefull 80kms considered fast .. .... At least the important thing is you are safe bro:eek:

bro mikeraj04, thanks for the concern bro...at dat point of time, couldnt really predict how wet was the road for 80kmh car to skid...haihhh..regretting now...im just worried about the chassis..if chassis lari, den im in trouble..unless if the insurance adjuster addresses all the problems accurately to the mech..but knowing adjusters and the tarik garages nowadays, they're very skillful wen it comes to cari makan..n they're really good in working together for extra income..hmmm..

i am very sorry to what had happened to you bro IBM.

now only i realize that i need to slow down the car during raining. my normal speed on highway is always above 100kmh regardless it rains or not.

One of the tell-tales of how wet is the road is, you look at its reflection, if got reflection, can see the sky.., my bola will kecut. If no reflection, still can take a chance but be mindful that surface can contain oil. So adjust your speed accordingly.

Did you go sport mode to cancel out the final drive or cancel 6th speed [E90]? I would and it helps to create engine drag, on some wet corners, breaking during corner is not a good idea especially when it's a downhill corner because momentum will push you out. Get use to shift down in such situation, using your steptronic.

My E90 on 225 tyres and that's the max it'll go. Even with that, once I can feel aquaplaning on the front wheel, depending on how wet the puddle la, I will change the tyre, sometime even before hitting the tread wear indicator. E90 very easy to read aquaplaning with front wheel because it's steering very heavy. A sudden lightness is the sign which I always look out for when driving in the wet. On car with light or no steering feedback, good luck and keep praying man!

bro huskar3399, thanks bro...dun even take the chances bro, be very very very careful..like bro initailM said, Rear-Wheel-Drive cars are prone to skid..i just learnt my lesson..n it feels so f****d up to see da ride u adore so much end up in a garage with unknown people...u'll always have the unsecured feelings..im having sleepless nights thinking what are they going to do to my car..sighsss..

bro astroboy, i drive an E46 2.2 Jap spec bro..nice idea to see the cloud's reflection but too bad this accident happened in the middle of the night with no existence of road light..at dat point of time, i didnt engage the steptronic bro..it was a downhill wet corner, and with that velocity of the momentum when the car was spinning, i did braked but did not slam on my brakes..cant help it bro..immediate instinct..da best i could do was only to steer the car from hitting the front side..its hard to counter the situation if it happens in a blink of an eye..hmmmm

IBM ... If insurance claim why not BMW SC repair?

Bro tiANcI, will BMW service center accept any bmw car for insurance claim..? what are the requirements i need to get it done in BMW SC? Pls advice bro..

bro IBM, based on my experience it depends on which insurance company u are with. some of the insurance companies have their own list of workshops if the user want to claim from them. i did claim once using etiqa. for further information i guess u can check from their website.

Pls advice which insurance do include BMW sc as their workshop if you have the information. Many thanks in advance

SC will accept all BMW la. if less than 5 years old car the full claim allowed. otherwise betterment applies..
