All I know is that if I continue buger time, my Malaysian made tyre will end up to the size of European tire or maybe lorry tires.

Very informative info on tyres for bimmer on this thread.

I would really like to use the CSC2 as my dad's Merc using them and i do drive the merc once in awhile and they do offer plenty of dry grip. But very pricey.

Jap tyres i used it alot on my other cars but not on conti before. Really loved AD07, they grip almost like semi-slick and wear rates was good on a light honda.

Tried SO2 on my putra last time and it was really good in dry and wet but i think now the so3 are really expensive.

Until recently I saw one of my customer running the new Falken FK452 on his 17" E46. The thread looks really good and i ask him to take me for a ride and it was pretty quiet and ride was not harsh.. He told me these FK452 offer good grips too.

Now i'm really considering these FK452 as its made in Japan and price is really attractive especially if you running staggered rims.

Chris,

Go for the FK452's...im using them now...grip is excellent on dry and wet is very good as well...at least thats what i think :D

What about Falken Azenis RT 615. Is it only for track use??
RT615 can be consider track(slick) tyres..if you r low miliage driver...it is recomended as it wear out quite fast..the only plus is dry grip are excellent..the thread really look superb....kinda da big zig zag sign...downside side is..it sucks in the rain...

chubby, FINALLY! ...452 had a lot of good reviews and is new model. AD7 old tech, i think got 3 years liao. Glad that someone is running 452 ...bcos i need some feedback too, opting for this but not so soon la ...current 115 still got half bunga.

ylkhor...well i've been using them for more than 3 weeks now...zero complaints...grips well in dry...cornering very crisp n clean due to its steel sidewalls...(it seems that other tire makers try to achieve this by making the sidewall thicker but the major downside to this is it adds more weight to the tire)...wets..well so far no complaits at all...drove in medium rain conditions...still sticks to the road well...just as a point of reference i always use the penchala link and did around 170kmh on the long sweeping curve towards the tunnel in dry conditions...great!.....fastest done in wet conditions...120kmh...so far..:D grip still good.. :D

Personally FK452's isnt top end tire in the market but for the price...its well worth it :D

Point of note..this is a brand new tire, brand new tread design, and brand new compound...and no Falken is not paying me to say all this :D
