Japan spec - radio

I understand that for Japan spec (re-cond), the radio would not function without adding a booster.If i were to change the entire radio player or add CD player, would the multi-function steering still work?? I mean those buttons that control the original radio player. Can any sifu advise??

nope.I dont think so.

My accessory shop told me that they can add a remote control device and connect it to the buttons on the steering,then you can control your player.

Aramis, most re-cond from japan do not have original CD player so you have to install one. So, it is pointless to get a facelift model with multi-function steering because the buttons would not work after you installed a new CD player.

I know coz I own a re-cond Jap model as well. Read my post before yours........

get a new player and ask the accessory shop to do the remote control for you. Theycan re-wire so that you can use the button on your steering to activate the remote to control your player.
