E60 Japan Spec 2004 530 Business CD

hm... is it only my car or all E60s
My single CD slot is a bit laggy.
when you press "eject" button, the CD will only come out after like a second or two lag.
After inserting the new CD, the tune will only start playing in a second or two.

I find that BMWs CD player/ Audio systems always have problems...

My dad old E39 CD changer kaput after 6 months from new back in 2002. Replaced under warranty
My E46 318Ci CD changer kaput twice ( same model as the E39) decided against repairing as each repair cost me 40-80 GBP then. Ended up listening to casette tape and local radio for 2 years
My E53 x5 3.0i Single CD slot player went berserk and skip track on and off just the day before i handed over to the next owner.
My E60 so far so good. just a bit laggy compare to my previous roundel rides.

1 sec does not constitute as lag time to me but it sounds about right

I second lag is the time it takes to put and remove the disc reader on the CD. If it comes out instantly your CD might be scratched?
