Just wondering, is there any Manual Tranny E46 running around in KL? Is yes, how much does it cost to own one? And what engine capacity will be available? 318? 320? 325? 328? or 330? Thank you...

What you hear and what's actually fact are two different things.Properly maintained, a BMW autobox will go well beyond 200,000km's without any problem.Just look at all the old BMWs on ebay US for sale. Most have over 300,000km with original autobox.

However, I agree that a BMWs are just meant to have a manual gearbox. There are some E46s out there with manual, but a bit difficult to find here in Malaysia. That's because the vast majority of BMW buyers are the soft, executive types who care more about the BMW badge and could give a rat's **s about the BMW driving pleasure.

How much does it cost? Where can this be done?

If a 320ci or 325ci can convert to manual also?

Hi, just wanna share too. I currently own an original manual transmission 2001 E46 330 Ci Sport, bought in UK during my studying days + part time work. Such an absolute excitement driving this beast tho the pain comes when there's heavy traffic jam..clutch is a bit stiff...but to be honest it's not so bad if just slow traffic. There's a slight chance that I might sell it next year to give way for an M3 if $$ permits.
