If your engine is old.. it will leak. However my personal suggestion is to use CASTROL EDGE SPORT 10W-60
http://www.castrol.com/castrol/genericarticle.do?categoryId=8264018&contentId=7007302

Alternative is PENNZOIL PLATINUMTM GT 100% SYNTHETIC SAE 5W-50 (API SM/CF)
http://www.pennzoil.com.my/product-desc.php?productid=5

Cheaper upgrade from yours is http://www.shell.com.my/home/conten...ants/shell_helix/product_range_new/helix_hx7/ RM90 for 5liters pack in Care-four

thnk you, but i will only be able to put castrol edge in my car... as this is part of the competition... as i need to do a review for the oil... the best review will win a trip to nurburgring, to drive an M car with the help of an instructor

just got an email from castrol, they will put in castrol edge 0w50 engine oil...

hey! Congrats! Hope u get to be selected to attend the driving drill in Sepang before heading to Nurburgring.. :top:

Just pour the Edge in, your engine won't die la. It's a much superior oil compare to mineral 20w-50. Wow! didn't know they have 0w-50, that's a wide viscosity range, suitable for cold engine start, yet able to withstand high operating temperature.

If your engine is not suitable for 0w-50, u will notice your engine consume engine oil and will experience drop in oil level.

hey thnx AB.. u took part in the contest also? and as for today, castrol just sent me a new email, stating that they have made a mistake, and they'll be putting 5W-40. And I think I'd be putting this oil into my moms car, which is much newer than my e34. So I will be reviewing the oil with my mom's car isntead.

No problem if u pour it in..but scared u either see ur car leaking engine oil o see blue smoke coming frm the back of ur car..dun worry..check ur engine oil frequently..after tht use back ur 20w-50
