The oil cap is sponsored by Castrol, so BMW AG don't have to spend money on the cap..
Different oil has different properties la, due to the different mix of additive. Some very slippery but not consistent (tak tahan) and the 300V is one example. My friends' Scoobies are all using 300v but they follow insane oil change interval of 3k km.
Castrol oil doesn't receive good feedback from my friends especially the GTX2 range. Even their full synthetic Edge 5w-40 wasn't convincing to me compare to Toyota Fully Synthetic as sluggishness was felt once above 8k km used and FC takes a beating.
Just look at it as your car's girl friend, it doesn't have to stick to one.. :wink: Saw one Japanese brand in metal can, 10w-40 full synthetic "racing oil".. so wanted try out a Japanese..
Now we go for "Barely Street Legal" stuff and I believe BMW qualifies too..
