Hi all, I sent my E46 325 to MSpeed for complete servicing & replacement of wear & tear items. From what I gather from the forums over the years, MSpeed uses CASTROL EDGE fully synthetic oil for oil change, which is also what is recommended by BMW. However, now MSpeed is promoting ROWE synthetic oil. It is supposed to be German made oil and developed for Audi and VW. Having not heard of this brand before, I googled to find out more and it exists but is a relatively small organisation started in 1995 with around 100 pax. It is certainly not the main oil recommended by VW and AUDI as claimed, however the fully synthetic range complies with VW, Audi and BMW Long Life specifications. Request comments / feedback from forummers who have experience with this oil. Personally I prefer to stick to known brand i.e. CASTROL EDGE but since Ah Meng was really pushing for it and I am in the midst of building my relationship with him (as advised by sifus here), I agreed to use the ROWE. However, if any negative feedback on it, I will instruct him to revert back to CASTROL. Thanks and hope for some feedback soon..

Been using Rowe Fully for a year plus now. Recommended 10K km change, i change every 5k.
During oil change, oil is still kinda clean. Engine top also looks clean, carbon free.
No sluggish feel in extreme hot weather. Also i afraid of commercial brands, obvious reasons.
I service wt them too, the oil a bit mahal tho ...

Im also trying another brand OWS germany on my other car, switched from selenia(petronas)

Been approached a couple of times to use Rowe , but still a bit sceptical since I'm very comfortable wt Q8 and Torco.

Q8 Advance 10w40 (semi)on my c200, Torco SR1 5w40 (fully) on my E36,E46 n E83.

I tried before but will never use again! Mechanic strongly recommend Rowe after used revenol fully, disappointed with the performance as I can felt my car was very heavy, changed it ard 4k km to Torco SR1 5w40, much much better than any other oil. Been using Torco for many rounds :top:

Thanks sachseelan, jeffreyewe and polaris78 on you feedback.. much appreciated... sorry for late acknowledgement to your feedback, just opened my computer....

have any1 tried the lexus full syn engine oil ..going for rm90 ......so far the cheapest full syn oil ...

my buddie is running it on his e46 and so far smilling away ...so plan to give it a try .. :)

What's the vicoscity like bro? Suits our ride? RM90 is like a semi-syn price.

There is always a high risk of buying lubricant oil from online. Quite a while ago, one of our club guests bought 8 litres of Shell fully syn from online and landed up having to overhaul his engine. An expensive lesson for him.

I'm also on Rowe for the last 1 year and no issue with it. Like sachseelan, oil looks clean during oil change. I change mine every 7k km.

yeh that's the lexus oil i'm running now ..so far so good and dammm ...the price seems to be getting rising up .... lowyat selling for rm110 ...

anyone wants it ..rm110 seems to be just alright ... let me know

Can do a GB for the Lexus engine oil? RM110 is a steal man!

would not officiate a GB as the stocks are kindda limited ..if you need just PM me how many bottles and delivery would be till PJ only ...

PM me if ya interested .... only for serious buyers ...

last service at MSpeed they used ROWE on my E39 525. Not sure about the viscosity. Immediate notice in the pick up. However I find the engine does consume the oil faster. Quoted RM50 to top up 1 litre. Not sure whether I should top up or go back to my usual 10/40 Semi.
