Dear all BMW Owners and also the future owners,

A warm greetings to all of you! I hope all is going on well with you. I sincerely hope that this forum has also helped you as much as it has helped me.

After getting to know some of the members here in this forum, there were some discussions on how we can boost the activities in the forum. We would like to increase traffic flow in the forum. We want it to be more livelier. More interactive amongst its members. Ultimately to have more new members as well.

Looking at the long run, if we have a large group of members, this will also allow us to get better bargains for you during group buys. More fun activities on a grander scale. More people involved to share their experience on their Ultimate Driving Machines. Remember, sharing is always caring!

This is the reason why I raised this thread. Tell or contribute your ideas. This thread will be observed by the committee members and by all as well. Let your ideas be heard and be seen. It can be small, big or even silly, but hey, they are going to listen to all. They shall pick some of the best ideas and discuss it in the next TT. You are most certainly invited to join any of the TT Sessions held from time to time.

Moving forward, please present your ideas in this thread. HOW CAN WE INCREASE TRAFFIC FLOW IN BMW CLUB MALAYSIA FORUM? High traffic till traffic jam is also welcome. Tell us your valuable ideas. Come one come all !

I propose to make the Raub Durian trip happen this year 2015. All OM must attend and support to make it interesting. Advertising plays a role so we need to conduct early advertising by the suggested following low budget method.
1. Word of mouth
2. Post and update all the previous durian drive photos in FB, Whatsapp group and forum.
3. No discounts offered as it will make the trip look cheap as we want to place it as a prestigious trip.
4. Simple lucky draw and extra activities for family to participate. Not only CM but OM also must organize and help.
5. Invite a celebrity to join.
6. Send invitation to Thailand BMW Club.

I am wanting to support the club in technical since I have the knowledge and capability. I feel I should share it among friends but if it is encouraged to make profit and others do so too, maybe I should also go with the flow.

What I was saying previously was that everyone can put a bill on actions but it raises more questions and debates which is most likely negative to the growth of the club.

Well the Club is welcome to try it out see how is the respond. I obviously will stay away from any kind of arguments if it occurs.

My 2 cents thought, sorry if i upset with my harsh words.....

Deep.. sharing of knowledge is of course a noble thing among frens.. often done pro bono or at the cost of a tt

The "privatisation model" is in the context of organising events & activities. And of course, not all activities can/shld be privatised. That's for our CM to decide in their wisdom.

Got a message in my inbox. As promised, confidentiality is assured for one of our IDEA contributors :

To boost traffic flow we should encourage new members to join in. We can do this if the club can design n print up PREMIUM LOOKING business card containing the following information :

1. Forum address
2. Bar code when scanned bring you the forum

On the reverse side, a nice and warm message inviting the person to join our club and forum.

This requires minimal expenditure as business card printing is cheap plus you get quantity. Each person that comes for the TT is given a stack of these cards to assist to slip it on the driver side window. This can easily be done while walking to your car in a mall or anywhere a Beemer is located .

During jogging around your housing area is also a possibility. This is called targeted advertising. Just passing my idea.

People will start to put their business interest ahead of the Club interest.

Your ideas and feedback has been taken note. I suggest we put this debate to rest and shall let the committee reflect and discuss heavily over their next TT.

aiya unker jarance....i'm a banned member la, so dont worry. of coz nice to see some passion again, but I believe it's more like flogging a dead bmw la. Nice to have such discussions as per the past, but end of day, it's still going six feet under, despite all the promises and what not. It's so bad now until renewal of membership also is allowed past the cut off just to bring up the member numbers, unlike my time where i was forced to pay rm300 to sign up as a new member because i was late, and rules were rules. lol. remember that incident?? was hilarious la.

btw, the turnout for AGM and AD is so low this year, what happened ar? but small numbers are good la, so everyone gets a lucky draw prize hehehe.

anyways YF, its a good initiative that you're doing. keep up the good work and may this club once again live to see drama minggu ini topics, instead of the current sekian terima kasih dan bersurai topics
