Hey Ding, you dont need a year.... you just need the cash!!
Let me try to find out tomorow how much it actually cost to rent the track, the last time we did ask them and they told us it was in the region of thousands... but then a solution came about when they said that the track can also be shared and the price would be the standard RM150 per car.
As for the surrounding area, mebe I can have a chat with the guys there and see if we can work something out. Normally they dont charge for parking if you are running the car on the track, am I right?? Things like this can sort out wan, unless they don't allow... esp the BBQ.
Drifting at the car park and the likes has been done before and sure can buat one, just a matter of finding out the cost...
But if you want to do BBQ kan,,,, siapa nak bawak itu BBQ grill??? :blink:
Just make sure to ask Tyke to make his homemade burger!! Yummmmmm.... matilah, batal puasa.....

Yeah, you maybe right...with 100 members it will be less than 100 bucks!! And we can burn tires on the track, then while during pitstops we can have BBQ (waiting for the engine and tires to cool down)...wuhoo..awesome!!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: Orgynise, jangan tak orgynise!!! :rofl: :rofl:

Anyway, I made a call to the guys at Sepang and found out the price for rental of the track...
1/2 day (basically four hours) - RM25,000
1 day (2 x four hours with lunch break in between) - RM45,000
(These two are for exclusive rental only, which means no other people are allowed on the track at that time. This payment includes the 'all hands on deck'...i.e. the marshals)
If you are more inclined to do a little event at the car park I suggest the one right in front, before the entrance to the Welcome Centre... its the cheapest and you can do what you want (provided you dont crack or harm the asphalt or surroundings and do your own cleanup...so we can have our BBQ)...Sepang can assist with everything.
Costs
PA (where they normally have the AutoKhanna) RM1,500 / day
P1/P2 & those behind the pit area RM6,000 / day
So considering all that....the best bet would be the car park in front...its big, spacious and we can do what we want..CHEAP!
So Ding... You wana start planning for this soon??
