Need your advise on this:

Made: May 2010
Registered: Dec 2010
Milage: 9000km
Price: RM180k

Is it a good buy? In the midst of processing the loan, if everything goes well..i'll be joining the club soon ;)

Getting it from an expat. He got it from AB.
Just a quick question...all BMW's comes with 3 years warranty and service?
And the warranty need to be changed to my name right? If yes, whats the procedure like? Or i can still use it even if it is under the previous owners name?

mileage is Good for such car. not mistaken its 2 year warranty and BSRI 3 year, you need to inform BMW thats all . and the warranty and information is transfered so is the whitecard privleges .

I was driving along jln sultan ismail yesterday and it was raining. stepped on the gas to exit a junction and my car skidded like crazy. damnnn , never encountered this previously on my 4wd car . close call :|

hehe.. HT7, this was exactly my experience when i just started driving my 320d. Driven FWD all my life and coming to RWD is a re-learning curve for my now... :) coming to a year driving my 320d now and able to tame the beast better now.. but still has its temper once a while.. :)

Yeah.. u just gotta be careful with all those torque at the rear wheel especially in a wet car park or cemented road/pavement, easy recipe for doughnuts tho.

but our car only allows u to do 1x 360, after that it detects it and stall the engine, no matter how hard you press the gas.

Careful of low end torque of 320d. Dont ever turn off DTC is u cant handle the car.

Yeah,even fellow OM whom had gone to Advanced drivers training were caught off guard when he switched off his DTC, in a slippery corner in the rain.total damage 110k and 2 months carless. U might not want that..take care and learn how to tackle the car.dont rush.many smiling miles behind the wheels await u bro.

i'm new here ... i do agree the low end torque its like a sleeping dragon awaiting to be awaken.... after weeks of driving the car, still trying to get used to it especially coming out from a corner

Vector or DTUK your 320d...you won't regret it! You are missing something if you don't!!!......and I am not a slaesman, by the way.

Yes.it is the same as mine (oct-2010) and the bs+ri and warranty countdown from the date it is registered.
As for the White card,You'll be given invites/special preview to BMW Malaysia or partners' events e.g Past events ; Launching of the F30,Special screening for Ghost protocol etc..

Not sure, mine was from early 2010 (March?) and it's the 177hp engine. If I recall only the later 2010 cars are 184hp ie. August/September onwards.

Pop the hood, take off the engine cover. If there's a blanket between the engine cover and the engine then it's a 184hp engine :D

Or you can check the VIN :D

Well here's the results of the Dyno run from Saturday. It was a pleasure meeting up with Mustakim (Wuk51) and Andrew (rattlesnake), and thanks to Derek of Torque Tuning for arranging the dyno.
Morale of the story? Tuning boxes do add more torque and bhp after the powerkit..:D Car's def. a lot more funner to drive..hahaha..

hey guys,

thks for your time too. i really appreciate it. guess yours will be the most powerfull 320d on Boleh land, at least at the moment. :top: based on Powerkitted value which is 197hp & 420Nm, your current engine power will be as follow.

HP = 211Hp (using 24% lost factor)
TQ = 460Nm (using 19% lost factor)

cheers.

just a side note. if you compare DynoDynamic chart with DynoJet read out, DynoDynamic has no drop of power at 3,750RPM as shown in DynoJet. Therefore, most probably DynoJet has some reading error towards the end. Of course DynoDynamic will gives you realistic numbers which is much lower that others. Truth is painful! :eek:
