Dear all,I have just collected my 525i sport from AB last night. It was raining during my collection. When I reached home I found both the head lamp with some mist stain on them. Call AB and they say there is a ventilation hole for the xenon light hence created the stain after rain, it will goes off after a short while. Eventually, during my collection time there is another 523i having the same problem as mine. Do anyone having the same problem as mine?regards

I was at AB Sg Besi the other day complaining about the same thing and they told me it's normal. Their first answer is exactly like what you have got from them. But anyway, I am pressing for a warranty claim on the headlamp and they are putting up the claim for me

Should be crap excuse la. If what they say is true, then why only one lampu only got this problem, the other lampu okay one? Close one eye and drive ah?

Have not really dance with my E90 in the rain yet.. dunno I got this wet eye problem or not..

Scientifically, the heated 25,000v Xenon headlight enclosure will not be "invaded" by moist when its in operation, very hot inside, any moist would be vaporised. Only when u off the light, when it cools down, it start to draw in atmospheric air through a ventilation outlet behind the fitting and IF the air that gets draw in is of high moisture or damped, then chances of this can happen.. but it will sure happen to both lampu LA! because both lampu also expose to the identical condition ma.

Like David said, no point explaining or asking to be explained la. Most of the time such theory is too complicated for them, so u can talk until the cow returns. Just press on warranty claim la. :D

Spot on. This is exactly what they have explained to me but I find it hard to accept as mine is only one side with such problem. If it's both side, then it is acceptable. Because of this one side problem, I asked them for a valid explanation as to why only one side and they can't answer..... so the best thing is.... put it under warranty claim la. So simple. No need argue or explain so much, just do a warranty claim on a new headlamp for me. That's the best part of purchasing a new car right :)

Another trick is press to claim for both lights. Reason being same batch, so very likely got problem. Make them to recall both lights.. that way, they will persuade u for claiming one first..

Viola... that's what u want what.. :D kekekeeeee..

mine also got some minor misting on d first day, it was raining very heavily, then after got home found the mist. after that incident there are no returining signs.

Appears to be quite normal la... even Porsche gets it too

I have tested few days already and the stain have not come back so far..but it does upset me a little as i worry the head lamp will get brownish stain later if it persists. beside this its a wonderfull machine. My E-class will be soon out of my garage..The bimmer 645i has captured me lately...
