went to my mech yesterday, turns out the rear brake was jammed too. we checked the brake pad and saw the pad was worn out uneven. changed the pad but did not service the caliper (budget :p)

this doesnt solve the problem yet. will update this thread

I wonder who your mechanic is...

If the brake was jam'ed n only replaced the pads, wasn't the problem was the caliper ? Its jam'ed due to the caliper n by not overhauling it, u have still not solved your problem.

Bro where do you stay...
Can bring your car to our mechanic in seri gombak for inspection to trace the actual prob n try to solved it...

X2n,
Should the intermittent noise is associated with the thin metal disc behind the rotor, the probable way forward would be to bend them away from the rotor contact.

Secondly, on your rear brake jam thingy followed by replacement of the pad, you have not solved the real issue which is the brake piston could have been jammed or there is restricted movement leading to uneven wear on the pads.

You may wanna bring your car to a proper mechanic as this is encroaching integrity of the car.

special thanks for all bmwclub members that helped me ^_^

driving is good again aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :D
