Light metallic grind-like noises while drive / turning left

Has anyone experience this? Some light metallic grind-like noise while slow drive and more evident at higher speeds (70km/h onwards) and turning left while on speed.Read on the other forums it could be wheel bearing / brake caliper sticking / diff? I just changed my diff oil to 75w-90 and all pads are new. Anybody got any idea or had this problem before? Tot anyone can shed some light on this before I take it to the mechs for a diagnosis.Thanks bros

Check your brake caliper....mine had a small stone stucked in between caliper.

try checking you power steering fluid reservoir ..maybe it's low

iceman: nope its full to the top mark...new too. Could a failing PS Pump make the same noises too?

Since you had just replaced the brake pads, the mechanic could have accidentally slightly moved the metal cover next to the disc rotor. Check it out. Defective or low PS fluid makes a growling sound.

My PS pump was faulty and noise is only evident during movement of steering on idle or slow speed/parking.

ruled out PS...further CSI revealed grind on slow movement and slowed accordingly to speed as well..and sound is coming from the rear...

So its either the wheel bearings (which I hope it is..) or diff...

Gonna check in tomorrow...gulp..

thanks bro jarance...but I doubt could be that as I double the plate was moved or touched during the brake change..but why only appeared these 2days...hmm...

lets hope its not too serious...

update on this. Apparently it is the new brake pads rubbing againts the outter metal rim of the disc. As my disc is a little worn and the pads are flat (unlike those that are curved abit at the edges), hence it is rubbing a little creating that swish sound.

Mech helped me by sanding down the edges a little to create less friction.

Diff and drive line are A-ok, phew ..thanks guys... cheers
