Fuel pump shoot petrol for around 1 sec

My friend got an e46 2000cc which only able to launch petrol for around 1 sec then stop sending out the petrol. Normally what problem causing this happened ?

what i know, when you on the acc switch, the ecu will send a signal to the fuel pump to briefly shoot a 1 second of fuel into the chamber to atomize for a good clean start.

unless your friends car cannot start ? then it's the crank sensor dead.

Always recommend lubricate with VCO, sure can pump more fuel.

Thanks for reply. My friend's car really cannot start. Crank sensor dead is it mean the intake camshaft sensor ?

There are two type of sensor. Camshaft sensor is different from the crank sensor.
