Fuel consumption between 1jz vvti & M43

Hi guys,sifus,seniors & old timers..need your kindly advise regarding the fuel consumption between 1jz vvti & M43 also any comment regarding the engine parts & maintenance..Big thanks.

Curious though. How many litres is this M43 u're refering to? 1jz is 2.5l. M43 comes in a a few variants rite?

yup..but many of the JDM guys said that the VVTI version is fuel saver & they said the more hp in the same car will reduce the fuel consumption coz u ddn't need to push the gas much..ex on trffic light,to overtake or to climb up hill..

No worries bro. My E34 is 1Jz equipped, Manual, non VVTI. Minyak boleh tahan kuat wo.. Not much different with the VVTI version. My other half, 318i E36 can be considered economical. But dont compare with P2 Vavi lah. I say +-40% more (1J vs M43)
