Bros,I'm considering converting my old 89' E32 730i's engine to a Toyota 1JZ 2.0 turbo as my engine & gearbox is already due for major overhaul making it more economically viable to change to 2.0 Jap engine especially in view of the roadtax & fuel savings. Any advice on the cost and tecnical problems which may be faced as well as any recommendations on which workshops which can take the project is much appreciated. Thanks & regards,Dave

The 2.0 engine is 1G-GTE bro... 1JZ is 2.5L. If you're looking for fuel saving, 1J is not a good option :)

Bro, sorry but I disagree with your statement lah. 1JZ FC is Ok. My E34 1JZ getting average 26 cents pr/km. Don't forget E32 is a very heavy car, if you put in 1G-GTE (which is 2 liter) you will need to accelerate more to move the car.
To move a heavy E32, you will need at least 1JZ to enjoy the power. Of course 2JZ better if you can.
