Having own a rare E3 and once own a R33 GTS.
I still suggest u stick to your roots, nothing beats the feel of the UDM 6 potter.. Plus, the feeling of "the original" will always be there..

If your mechanic got Kung Fu then everything should work as per normal except your fuel economy meter.

If you want to go for drag 1JZ turbo, RB25 is the way to go. If you want to fly go for 2JZ turbo or RB26, that's what I can understand. Comparing these to a S50/S52 block is too much high maintenance for an old car, I agree as well.

I guess people who want more pickup and acceleration go for JDM conversions. The reason for this is too much hp and torque are available at:
- Cheaper maintenance
- Lower fuel consumption
- Low road tax
- However quality of the car is sacrificed during conversion.

I have seen a few JDM converted E36 selling on mudah as well. Also came across a E39 2JZ turbo, monster. But then again putting such an engines effect the chassis or body of the UDM?
