Felt Tape for E30 central console noise

Hello anyone know where to get felt tape??? I can't seem to find it.My central console has an irrating squeaking and cracking noise because the last owner didn't install it back properly when he was doing some wiring works. Anyway I solve the problem with some rubber strips but it came off afterwhile. I discovered that originally BMW used felt tape to avoid the rubbing noise ...I'm open to any leads where i can find the tape or alternative solutions to my problem...

Woi!...use some imaination lar.......u could use double-sided tape or go to Ace Hardware and ask for felf waether stirps for door frames.

Your car is squeking 'cos you have been disturbing too many Kancils at the traffic lights lar.......

check 3M products......and also the hardware shop in Jaya Supermarket Section 14.

If all that fails, get a small piece of foamed double sided tape....in black is best. Peel off one side and leave the other unpeeled ( cos u dun want to glue the two surfaces rite...)

eh the double sided tape is not of soft material la ... it would encourage more noise when the PU has friction. But its worth the try la ... i try it tonight.

you can use the woolly side of velcro tapes...

velcro tapes are kinda expensive just to get the wolly side... but i have a fair bit (without the scratchy bit) you can take for free from me. just pm me as to how much you need and where to send it to?

the woolly & scratchy parts come together in the velcro tape pack. available in ace hardware and other diy shop. comes in white, black and other fancy colours.
