Hi guys,
It has been a few months since we introduced this service to some of our customers and feedback has been good.
Hence, we are officially introducing this service to the rest of you.
As the title suggest, what are we doing is stripping the cracked/flaked off insulation and recoating it with layers of liquid electrical tape. Upon curing, the liquid electrical tape forms an airtight, protective, waterproof, UV resistant, dielectric coating, ie a new skin for your wiring.
Given the weather and average age of cars in Singapore, most cars driven in Singapore have worn out wiring insulation.
With that, the naked wiring tends to touch each other, resulting in shorting and spoilage of lights and other electrical components.
This new service that we are offering is an alternative to replacing the headlight sets or other components.
With the liquid E tape, we are able to reach deeper and further where traditional heat shrink or taping can't reach.
In addition, given the renewed skin when layering is properly and adequately carried out, the wiring will be a more lasting solution.
The charges of the Liquid E tape services varies, depending on the severity of the wiring problem and time needed.
For each job, we do at least 3 layers and in between each layer, we require 10-15 min of drying. Hence, jobs will need at least 1-2 hrs and very severe jobs requiring more time.
Before we carry out the Liquid E tape services, we would carry out a preliminary test and diagnostics on the health of the wiring and what is the exact problem and areas requiring Liquid E taping. Thereafter, we will quote you guys accordingly. You guys are free to decide whether to proceed with it or do away with it.
We will be sharing with u guys more of the recent jobs we have done and some of the common wiring problem you will encounter.
Meanwhile, here's an example of the Liquid E Tape that we have done for our Ipad wiring.
1) Noticed the black portion that we have Liquid E taped.
2) For the 2nd pic, we are holding the recoated portion and the ipad is actually charging.
ie, the coating is totally complete and safe, with no electricity electrocuting us or our hand.
