Just got my vanos seals replaced with Beisan repair kit. Done it at Optimum Motorworks.

Really worth the money and time spent there. From 10am and finished at 2pm. Previously, at lower rpm the car felt heavy. After installed the new vanos seals, i can feel the car is smoother and improved pick up. Eventhough, not even reach 320km as suggested by Beisan, but i already feel the difference. Will post feedback when the car clock 320km.

Thank you Herbert! Teh tarik/nasi kandar on me.

Herbert, many months after installing the seals, i find that the fuel consumption on my car gets lower. your vanos seals has made my car feels smooth, responsive and more importantly FAST..

I cant seem to lift my right foot off the pedal bro! damn syiok man! no wonder my FC not so good. iverytime i drive, ever since the seals replaced, the engine feels brand new.. thanks bro

Changed it at WP Auto (Albert). But i would not be able to tell u the diffrence b4 & after cos upon acquiring the car 2.5weeks ago, went to workshop straight for major servicing.
Hv clocked arnd 700km since then. Fuel consumption is getting lower from 16L/100km to 14.4L/100km for 35% highway & 65% town driving.
For full highway i hv touched 13.5L/100km.
And yes, the engine feels lighter & lighter with more km's covered.
FYI, it is an e38 728i Double Vanos.

Hmm.... i also notice my avg fuel consumption from OBC went lower from 12.8 too 11.4 on average town driving.

Glad that you finally replaced your old vanos seals and getting improvement. You kept the Beisan vanos seals kit for so long and I thought you may have forgotten about it.

Dear All,
For those who have changed the vanos seal, ..... was it also necessary to the change the ancillaries such as valve cover gasket, valve cover bolt grommet, oil fill neck gasket, vanos steel gasket,..etc?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Only if the gasket cover has hardened. Happens over quite a period of time so usually while we're in there we just change it. I had mine changed when I swapped my cams out for something else last time. Till now (about 2 years plus) the gasket cover is still good. So it all depends on your mechanic's recommendation and of course you have to check it out for yourself la.

My oil fill neck gasket is still good so I never changed it.

I replaced my Vanos steel gasket as part of a preventive maintenance thingy when I first got my car.

Just sharing this video from youtube since it was related

hi guys...
i replaced my "gone case" seals and wat i discovered eventually is....
the longer the seals are in use....
the smoother and better the lower end torque is.
u juz need a very light tap on the pedal for a quik getaway.
thanks herbert for this wonderful product.
