How bad were your old seals? were they brittle/disintegrated upon removing?

No idea, my mileage was at 260,000km when i changed it. left my car at albert's for few days for engine oil change, check all the undercarriage sound, replace some hose and seals, etc...just collect the car when its ready, pay, and just drive with full of excitement. mileage also very good since then. clocked on average of 550~650km for absolutely town driving. no regret and worth every penny!

Sorry to hijack abit. Can advise me what is the oil separator for the M52B28 engine? the location? cost to replace? need to know more since my spark plugs just fooled with engine oil yesterday and the engine refuse to start.

Longines, it could either be your oil separator or valve seal problem where the former is a cheaper repair/replacement. You can see my thread at the E60 forum at http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34893

Can anyone with the M52B28 Single Vanos Beisan Repair kit, can check what is the diameter of the right and the thickness of the ring.

I can see this is just like any other O ring and I can managed to source a Viton version of this O ring, it may even out perform Beisan Ring. Viton O ring may be less than RM50 per ring.

Seanswn,

Please DO NOT try to promote your item in this thread.

You have already been warned before in your previous postings trying to sell expensive door clips and other items.

Seanswn, open a new thread instead of posting here. It is a good news if u able to source the cheaper solution.

Good thing have to share..:top:

Dear sean,

Appreciate and understand your initiative to help out and trying to save cost for all with a possibly better product. Until that is confirmed, you may open your own thread and do your own research.

As per the topic suggest, this is for Beisan seals feedback. So please stay in the topic.

Thank you for your understanding.

sean, come and meet us in person lar.

Good idea to find cheaper alternative but please start a new thread.

Do a bit of R&D first lar.:listen: Think for a moment of what you are trying to do..

eg.. it just like someone saying "Hey guys, I think I can get cheaper tyres than Goodyears from China for half the price. Are you guys interested"

Astroboy,

Yes, I will open a new thread, I will prefer to listen to someone who talk reasonably than someone who talk like he is some kind of enforcer of the universe. I can't believe people just take issue in their own hand and warned other member over some common posting. As if he is the only one who is driving a BMW.

Suggesting a idea and asking for information is not considered commercial posting.

Sean,

You still don't get it. Let me explain the sins you have committed.

1. You intruded/hijacked into a thread which is meant for Beisan seals feedback.
2. You want to promote/source another product in this thread which is meant for Beisan seals feedback.

Sometimes you just need to knock some common sense into someone's head. Do you get it now!!

Now see who is protecting his commercial interest.

I deleted all my previous post. Don't want to waste my time arguing something that have no benefits to me.

ok all, take it easy with our new friend!

sean, if you face difficulties creating your own thread, please let me know so I lend u a hand.

What u are seeing in here, is something that you will only experience in a very closely knitted community and it get tensed up when a new idea or face is introduced. Take your time, try to get to know more folks here through TTs. They are a nice bunch..

I had to go thru the same cultural shock when I first join the club.. now its all cool!

Again, please be reminded, this is Beisan feedback thread. herbert is very close to the American manufacturer to get those special pricing and so I think the thread is meant to help collect feedback for the manufacturer. If u think Viton is better and cheaper, go try it out and open a new feedback thread for Viton.

Just notice u have deleted all your previous post. Thanks! :top:
