okow was true...need to know what time is ferry & normally the ferry can load about 20 vehicle including lori so if we miss the ferry that will be a problem,if the thai vehicle is a lot over there we can only go in a few car.5 year back i go with 4x4 over land group i got my thai friend as a tour guide so easy a bit & avoided this problem,we arrive 2 hour earlier to wait for ferry.

Bro, you are right, waiting to board the ferry is about 2 hours ahead of timed schedule.

can also consider about trang,it also a very nice place which just nice for 4 day trip.hattyai to trang only 148km,day 1 k.l-hattyai check in mayflower hotel which all the shopping & restoran serounding.day 2 hattyai-trang,day 3 trang-hattyai(departure after lunch),day 4 hattyai-k.l(departure after lunch).

mayflower hotel rate:930 baht per night next to it is a muslim restoran.

Things to consider:
- You'd have to drive to either Surat Thani *(1 hr 45 min) or Donsak *(50 mins) to take the ferry to Samui. * - away from Samui
- Not all ferries take vehicles (I think only 2 a day)
- Not worth going all the way to Samui for just 1 night
- Consider Krabi (no need for ferry)

was told there's one Raja Ferry or something, Lotus convoy used them. They slept in hatyai and drive to ferry the following morning for the ferry trip after lunch...

yup, 1 day is short, at least 2 days.... hopefully all can be away that long....

I'm open to either Samui / Krabi / Trang etc...

Yup, thats the time we leave PJ/KL for all the past trips (bike) that I've organised when travelling beyond Thai border towns (hatyai, betong, golok etc)..arrive at the border to fill up forms, duty free, change money etc at Changloon.

Due to the excitement, you'll not be getting much sleep the night before anyway...

Pls list down any particular things or items that you guys would like to do or stuffs to look out for so we can try to find out.
