that's the trade-off for an inexpensive solution. for us who don't enjoy frequent visits to workshops, there's the costly way; but you'll be able to make adjustments on-the-fly merely by pressing buttons.

At RCS, there was very little guesswork. When they ask about my preferences, they took me on an E60 as benchmark. They made calculations based on car design weight and database, based on Lotus formula , and it was spot on. Unfortunately, discovered pitching on highway trip two weeks later and it was readjusted by increasing the rear pressure 0.5bar. I really like the first setting as it soaked up the road nicely and yet corners really good. The second setting is harder but still compliant. cornering a lot better.

I've been looking at rear springs and their rates. H&R probably stiffer than Msport. On next service, will discuss with them on using standard ( non-msport spring ). Hopefully can get a bit of comfort and eliminate pitching as well. That's a year away.

Its not exactly problem, it just a matter of i itchy to keep on finding best ever set up, bcos i always carry weight (family members). if i not mistaken it has been 4th set up by them and currently i felt my 2nd set up was the best one. Might pay a visit to TITAN in the near future to retune to my 2nd set up.

that is exactly right. its just itchy backside wanting to fine tune.. and to be honest, most brothers here who is on titan.. go back for setting.. just because they can and wanted to try something different for a while. (betul tak?) nothing to do with whether richard is good or bad in setting. just because we dun have to pay.. we saja want to lepak there.. kepoh see what other people has and recharged the nitro.

the most retuned i did was three times.. and everytime i did it, i wrote down the shim sizes and thicknesses and high charge nitro psi.

with that, i can roughly explain to richard what i want and when its right, that will be my setting from then on.

not really make any sense to tell richard, i want hard, i want soft because its more than that.

By M performance, you meant the m adaptive suspension for the f30? or the bmw upgrade suspension?
So whats the outcome? TITAN better than M performance followed by m sport?
what test u used to grade? I presumed the slalom test timing?

Bro Alan, the f30 m performance u refered to is it the m adaptive suspension for the f30? or the official bmw upgrades?
So whats the verdict? TITAN better than M performance followed by m sport?
I reckon u used the slalom time challenge for the testing?

I was referring to bmw upgrades. The m-perf.

Tried the m-sport too... Errr.. Not much diffrent from stock... My opinion.. (sorry guys.. Just my opinion) a waste of time.

Ya, Alan Tiong is right. M performance suspension sucks. It's not like BMW Engineers know what they are doing. Idiots, the whole lot of them and need to be sacked.

Hello, you tok kok is it? Hahaha..

Rattlesnake.. ya lo, that's why he know that ///M Division engineers are damn idiots.

But pls pls.. don't sack them all & close the Division until they launch the ///M235i ya.

Alan ... Looks like you are really taking things to a next level, a pretty crappy one la.

You say MPerf/MSport not much difference from stock. Are you smoking some interesting stuff at? The difference is day and night.

Err.. Correction a bit.. Maybe i was not being clear.. M-sport vs stock.. Not much difference. A comparison, stock-sucks.. Big time.. M-sport.. Sucks.. Little time.. Hehehe

M- performance.. Much better than the other two.. But still far off worthy a m-perfomance badge.

I would disagree that the engineers are idiot as they have came up with good products all along.. Its more like marketing department is getting smarter.

Soon they will launch a higher version... To create more sales.. Am sure they have plenty more stuffs in the closet... Teasing us.

LOL I don't believe the BMW Engineers are idiots. Them engineers definitely will be able to create something really good, but it is always the business owners & marketing team who is preventing them from doing so.
Engineers of most mass produced items these days are not encouraged to create something awesome and long lasting. This is because they can earn more money once the product reach a certain life time and they can then introduce something slightly better.

Anyway...reading all these. It's damn confusing which suspension set up to go for. Need to try and meet/drive with you guys to get the feel!
Been hearing some good stuff about Titan from other car enthusiast too.

cut alan some slack, that man is doing the community a favor by sharing his experience about inexpensive options of coilovers rather than m performance options.

Seriously, if the prices were the same, would you take m-per coilover or titan? guess there s little doubt bout it there.

he s trying to prove a worthwhile-bang for buck coilover options.

as for myself, i also undecided which coilovers to put in but definitely not m-per as i CLEARLY FELT it is overpriced. No offense, but everyone has their own assigned perception of value. Am exploring the options of KW, H&R and even Blistein atm. heck, i might even return to Titan as i had used it previously and i have no complains, just im curious there might be better options

Bro Alan Tiong is a nice guy in person, I met him before....
We should thank him for his enthusiasm to compare the best possible suspension setup for our bmw, be it f30 or e90...
I have tested his Titan suspension setup before he lowers them with the HnR sport springs, ride was more comfy than my Msports suspension, but when pushing the car on slaloms, it unfortunately has significant body rolls.
I have yet to try his Titan with HnR springs... Should be much better...
I have no comments on the Msport suspension or M performance for the f30, because i haven tested them, perhaps sometime this week when I am free... Hehe
Bro Alan, you would be surprised how much I pay for the ohlins...lol

Aku ade bmw lori ko ade?
