Hello everybody. I am currently in the market to purchase an f30; either 320i or 320d, not sure yet. I've recently done a test drive at AB Sg Besi. I need some guidance from forumers out there.1. I've heard that the f30 2013 price has been increased slightly. Anybody know the new price for 320i and 320d, and what upgrades if any?2. I intend to make my purchase very soon, and is planning another test drive at Ingress (based on my reading of posts in another thread). Can any sifu here direct me to a good SA there?3. I will be making my purchase based on REP. Any forumers out there that has done this and their experiences, specially how long it took before the UDM is in your garage?Thank you all in advance for any pointers given.

Just call a sales rep to find out. One such person is Anas of Ingress, 0126815477.

Ooops sorry my bad. I've also noticed that the BMW site is now displaying the new 2013 prices. Looks like the 320i has increased by about 3k, while the 320d hasn't changed??? Hmmm....
Anyway thanks for the contact at Ingress. I am a newbie here and basically I'm threading on unfamiliar grounds.....he he.

I just make my booking on Thursday at Tian Siang BMW Penang
SA never say anything of price increment
You sure ?

It's stated in BMW website, effective 25 Jan.
Charaznable, mind sharing offer u got from TS B'worth?

REP is "Returning Experts Programme" for Malaysians returning from overseas to work here. You get to buy 2 CKD cars tax free. I am actually using my brother's permit. He's using the other one.

The last I check 320i will cost rm166k under the programme. Yeah maybe I should be a little more `ambitous'. Have to see the rates as well.

If you can get tax waiver, use it on a 328i.

Just out of curiousity, cld you find out how much the 328i is under the REP.

If the difference isnt much ie 20-30k,you seriously shld consider getting it rather than the 320i.

Cheers!

Anxious, this was based on last year's prices. 320i at 166+, 320d at 170+, and 328i at 203+. Maybe some difference due to recent price hike.
The downside was it will take a whilleeee....before you can get the car. First the paperwork (about 1 month) and the car will have to be declared tax free from the factory (not sure how long). So can't take from existing stock, and can't sell car within 2 years. Of course the car will be in my brother's name too, so logistically it is not ideal.

But anyway I have yet to visit Ingress or Quill and make up my mind on which model to select. Since this is my first UDM I don't exactly know what to expect in terms of running costs, maintenance, modifications etc. So don't really want to break the bank on the first one if you know what I mean. I notice that some of you sifus out here has been owning nothing but Beemers most of your motoring life. All I can say is, bros....I salute you guys..

Read up on the F30 threads to have a clearer picture of what you could be getting yourself into. Better yet, keep an eye on upcoming meets and tt sessions; come meet the enthusiasts personally.

Just curious what you guys think... with the new A6 hybrid launch estimated price about 288...would you all still buy the 328? Somehow it just seems much better value to get the A6 though it is of course slower

Apples vs oranges.. Apples vs oranges, and price is not the sole determinant. Despite all supermarkets giving good deals on oranges now, i will stick to apples and won't touch any Audi even with a 10 foot pole.

Sorry I have to ask this question. With the myriad of issues currently faced, given the benefit of hindsight, would you have deferred your f30 purchase to a later date, until BMW sort these issues out? Honest answers please.
My major concerns are with issues such as the steering rack, bulging tyres, and rusted seat frames, I am going to put my order soon, but until SA can convince me that the 2013 model has resolved these, I will definately defer my purchase. Others are minor considering the driving pleasure of the car I think.
