Today after lunch with lots of time to kill, myself, Jarance EL 118 decided to test drive the F10 528i. Being a Saturday, the test track was quite clear of traffic and all of us took turns at the steering for various stunts guided by the SC. The feeling of the E39 platform have return in the guise of the F10 and with a lots of improvement. The performance and the seamless gear change left us breathless. EL 118 has an advantage over us, he got to perform a lot of exciting stunts. Wonder if he can sleep tonite , hehe.......another wonderful and exciting day passes....

Ha ha, i actually a bit worry when asked to drive at 80-100km/h thru corner curve and brake hard ( 4 lives in my hand) but the handling was exceptionally well. Later at nite drove my E39 530, felt that something not there lah, ha ha.

Put your booking fee yet? You guys had a night to sleep over it last nite...hehehehe

AY39's heart itchy already and thinking to get his latest "girl friend", and the best ever in terms of "performance" and "handling".

I asked AY39, he said his e39 530i (excellent condition) not for sale and very likely will be passed on to his son who has been eyeing for long. ( if he indeed succumbed to the itchiness)

we like pics...

Sorry we didn't dare take any pictures, we even reject the brochures given to us cause our wives back home will kill us for not taking them for the test drive.
It's was a hush hush experience for 3 of us.........

I've driven the F10 523i before, approximately 30-40KM altogether. It was my friend's car and the experience was wonderful. It's definitely a good car but I also notice something. When you engage the transmission from "N" to "D", it jerks a bit. The car is only 30K+ KM in mileage (CKD unit) and I didn't expect it to behave that way :)

PROBLEM SOLVED!!... If your F10 has hesitation or jerks at 0-10 mph
Hi all,

I've been suffering from this hesitation and jerking problem since I got my F10 three months ago. Well, today i stumbled upon a solution in this thread below. I tried it right away, and I have to admit, the accelerator is much smoother now from stop. And I'm a much happier F10 owner now than I was yesterday.

Steps...

1) hit start button once to turn on power (Don't start the engine)
2) then press the accelerator down to the floor for 5 sec
3) then hit start button once to turn off power
4) then remove foot from accelerator
5) then waite for 2 minutes
4) then start the engine like normal and try it out!

Good luck!

This is resetting. if after perform the above doesn't improve, try floor the accelerator for 30 sec instead of 5 sec.

Wow, great info there RH5, thanks :) I was telling myself how on earth that a 400K car doesn't even work properly on the gearbox. Unfortunately I don't have the car with me now but will certainly ask my friend to give it a try. On the other hand, his 523i does not have Navi (quite a disappointment too). 400K car but no Navi?!

i have a chance to order the gps, but i didnt. I think I will just use tomtom on my iPhone if i ever need any directions... more updated map i think..
