Guys,

Saw Tesco advertisement at the Star today selling Mobil 1 5W-50 Fully Synthetic 4L at RM139.90, normal price is RM 199.00. Question is whether my e92 325i can use this oil or not. Please advise guys! THanks

Yes you can ... But imo it's a bit too heavy. It would suit those that drive their car hard most of the time or those wanting to reduce the oil consumption on their engine on their older/worn engine. A 0/5W-30/40 would be more suited and it is the recommended spec.

Tesco Damansara is still selling Castrol Fully Synthetic 0w-40 at RM149 still got 6 bottles left. A good buy if you ask me :4:

Bought 4 bottles last week as it is a perfect match for older cars like my e39.

Went to tesco extra tmn midah bought the remaining 3 bottles Castrol Edge 0w-40 at Rm149 each.

Any fully synthetic 0/5W-40 that has LL-04 stated in the label. LL-04 is the latest BMW engine oil standard that is low on SAPS (low sulphated ash, phosphorous and sulphur content) and is formulated for diesel engine and also newer petrol engine from BMW.

Was at Puchong just now. so checked Tesco and left 2 bottles of Castrol Edge 0W-40 selling at RM 149 each. Grabbed them like there is no tomorrow...

Pennzoil Fully 5W50 RM155.00 is the best engine oil for the BMW and the performance of this oil is so amazing. I am using this oil from last 6 months and I got good performance of my car.

Tesco Damansara Curve ... Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 selling for RM145 -> Production date is 06/2011 So still quite fresh :top:

6 bottles left ... better grab fast fast before it runs out! Don't mind the Castrol as i already grab the last two bottles hehehe :4:

Was happen to be in Seremban today so decided to try my luck. Luck was on my side as there are still plenty available! (Around 20 bottles on the shelf perhaps)

Got myself 6 bottles (2 for a forummer). An uncle was so happen lurking around there & terus grab 2 bottles too when he saw me grabbing 6 & told him market price is RM199 to RM209.

Thanks for the info Wingzee and Alex. Decided to make a dash to Seremban around 8pm tdy to grab the bottles. Bought 6 pax straight too. Still there are plenty left. Before heading to Seremban i went to Tesco in Paradigm Mall to check if they might have the same promo since it's brand new mall but the price was RM199. That's when i shot straight to Seremban.

BTW the mfg date is 17/10/11 on all bottles.
