Sorry, if I am off-topic, but what is the recommended alignment checking (assuming you do not kena massive potholes, normal bumps)? 10k km? 20k km? 40k km? Am referring to E90 325 Sports on 18" with RFTs.

Appreciate any advise. Thanks.

MSport, I do it every 3 months, and the camber and alignment are always out, thanks to our pot-holed roads.

Did alignmnet and balance all four tyres this morning after my first service. The car was pulling left and I don't think the tyres were balanced. Noticed it while travellng on the Putrajaya highway.
Did mine at the Perelli service center. Now feel more stable. More confident to speed more :top:

True. Everytime I balance and algn my wheels, my rides track truer and smoother. Bro, where is the Pirelli service center? I want to learn about Pirelli RFTs. :p

It is beside the Jaguar 3S center at Glenmarie on the road from Glenmarie to Subang Jaya. It is the Goh Swee Hin PIRELLI.

I saw the Pirelli 225/45 R17 RFT for the E90 at list price of RM19xx each.
Dielah when it is time to change tires. On the net it is selling at USD209. Any one bought it here?

Thanks bro. Pirellis are great tyres, especially their AA traction models.

IMO, it's not advantageous to order tyres through the net.Tyres are heavy and bulky, and by the time you pay the freight, handling, duty and sales tax, you're back near the local retail prices (which include installation) If you do, make sure you get temp rating A for our hot roads. Singapore is a viable alternative for tyres.

Agree with Schwepps, new tyres come with 1-for-1 replacement warranty.. it will become a big hassle should any claim arises if you ordered your tyres online... not wise to enter such "makan sendiri" deal. I would only consider something with local warranty.... unless its dirt cheap and treat it as a all-or-nothing gamble.. :p

Dude, can't you see that one is a 2.5l and the other is a 3.0l? I would suggest you learn a bit more about different BMW monikers in different countries before making such strong comments.

And also please introduce yourself in the newbies section.

The 323i is a joke. Its just a marketing strategy. By right the 325i should be sold at RM270.

Btw, how come BMW Malaysia selling old engines here. I see the 325i has come out with a fster 325i and more fuel efficient engine.

I presume this is the 325i sold here

http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/Detail.aspx?deriv=30065

but here is the fuel efficient one has it can do 0 to 60 in 6.9 sec

Don't simply comment like this.
It is somebody's new car you are talking about.
And it is fully loaded and damn cun
Plus got mine with RM23k company discount. No regrets :top:

Want to see?

bros...if i am not mistaken the 323 with the 'detuned' N52/N 2.5 is not just on its DME mapping but also the piston and conrod...if u see the parts list for the engine u can see two option...one is for the nomal one which develops 218bhp and another is for lower compression model which i assume is for the 'detuned' N52B25/N52NB25...

anyone can confirm this?

makes sense...if the only diff between 323 n 325 is just a remap away...i dont think anyone would buy the 325...

just buy the 323 and spend some 3k for remap......

Based on a quick search, the con-rods have same part no's for N52 between the 323i and 325i. There is a low comp piston spec as mentioned:

01KS PISTON(0)611257542057ENDED01KS PISTON(0)611257561844FOR VEHICLES WITH
LOW COMPRESSION ENGINE
S858A=YES 01KS PISTON(0)611257560374ENDED01KS PISTON(0)611257561850

But the 323i has the same compression ratio as the 325i based on the brochures at 11:0. Not sure what the low comp piston spec is for tho. Perhaps for use in countries with bad fuel/octane quality?
