for my car, u press the button to retract the side mirrors. not fully auto... but easy enough. but sometimes can be forgetful la

Alternatively, you can press and hold the lock button at the remote for about 2 seconds and the wing mirrors will fold-up. When you unlock the door using the remote, they will retract automatically.

In my case(E90 320i), only the windows go up(on the inverse: pressing the Unlock button for a while allows the windows to go down - useful after parking in the sun). The mirrors are a 'push-button' affair.

With the E66, I remember it was the same and then, pressing 'Lock' twice to fold in the mirrors. Pressing 'Unlock' twice to fold 'em out. And they even added another gimmick. Another button to switch on all the lights so you'd be able to find your ride in a carpark. Quite handy for the forgetful....myself, included.

Wow...I never knew that our car can do such thing. Did you learn this from the manual? Or discovered accidentally...

I haven't get the chance to see manual, it looks like a dictionary to me...I confess that I am not a reading person...

Yeah, the opening and closing of all the windows at once using the remote is useful when going into the car on a hot day. Ennui, if you hold down the lock button when the car is locked, the ground, welcome and interior lights come on, helping you find your car. But I find that the range of the remote is not very good.

If you buy a lux car, it's a good idea to go through the handbook. Lux cars have many more features tucked in them than mass market cars, and they all do things differently, so feeling your way around intuitively is not going to uncover all the features. You're probably not aware yet of a lot of features in your car if you haven't had a chance to see your manual.

This isn't available in my 2008 model. Is it a new feature in the LCI model?

Thanks Schwepps, indeed a good advice from you. I am so used too the Jap vehicle and unaware of all the features that we have in the BMs...

If you open a consultation company in giving advice on our vehicle, I would be your biggest fan:top:
