Maintenance perspective, less is more, NA engine maintenance sure less than FI engine because lesser components and engine less stress.. but FI engine more efficient, in terms of power and fuel consumption.

thx u very much... i will consider the 320d E90 year 2011, but how abt our malaysia poor diesel euro 2?!? itzit will give us any problem.... like peugeot 508 GT will facing low power, laouder engine sound....etc side effect....

If its me ... I will choose a 320d over a 323 ... eps if the 320d is an M Sport ... 323 is not much of a car la ... its a nice car to enjoy if you are not into twisty roads. If you care more about handling ... go with the 320d M Sport not the 323. The 320d will give you great economy, lovely torque ... only need tahan that slight diesel sound la ... dun forget, 320d can masuk PowerKit!!!

thx bro... but our malaysia poor euro2 diesel got any side effect on that engine??!?!

Honestly la, having driven my wife's 323i, whether its powerful enough or it handles great depends a lot on the cars you have driven before.

In car ownership, great handling almost always comes at a cost of harder ride.

In terms of handling, i would say 325i/320d Msport > 323i > c200.

But in terms of comfort, c200>323i>325i/320d Msport.

Some may disagree with me, but having tested those cars, that is what me and my wife felt and we went for the 323i, which is middle of the road option. Bear in mind even a C200 outhandles most of the cars out there ( A4? Haha ).

Power wise, 190hp and 230nm ain't too shabby at all. 325i/320d is faster no doubt, but if speed is all you after, a 335i is the best.
For a 323i with powerbox, i have G-teched 0-100 in the low 8 sec.

Test all of them and then you decide. If u ask 10 different ppl about cars, u will get 10 different opinions. Best is if u test all of them 3 times and by then, your heart would have given u an answer.

The 320d N47 engine has been running well since 2009 when it 1st came out, if power & handling is your cup o tea plus the mileage that you get on a full tank, then its a no brainer lah... No issues whatsoever on our Euro 2M diesel. Check this out for more reviews from owners themselves :3: http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?40402-How-are-your-320d-doing-so-far

For comfort & cruising get the 323. I may be wrong but not many 323 owners here tho..:4:

All conti's are like that. But it takes 2min to code it out and remain on internal circ at all times.

Hi Bro , care to share where and how you have it coded out?

I was impressed with the features, power, build qualities of 508 GT, price is definitely very reasonable for what you get. 5 years warranty and promised of courtesy car if yours need to be in the workshop for a day or more plus 1st year insurance and roadtax are complimentary. Oh yes, free gps, upgrade to on board 7" multifunction computer, and they only asked for RM10k down payment, interest rate is 1.8% for 9 years

As for BMW 320d is the way to go, you get less features, shorter warranty vs 508 GT, you too pay 70k more for f30 320d or RM20k for e90 320d. Only pleasure u get is SHEER DRIVING PLEASURE.

Good luck my friend

From Peugeot to BMW? U have nothing to lose.. haha! :4:

A brand new C180 is only RM212k, can give that a thought too.. if you not too particular about driving pleasure.. :top:

Since its also close to end of the year, perhaps there will be good deals on pre-reg F30 units as well!

I had a 323 (2010) & 320D(2011).. like what other forummers here say.. if u want handling and think of fuel consumption then get the 320d m-sport..
323 is definitely a more comfortable ride.. thirstier but definitely quieter..

Bro, thx ur advise... me also got think abt that, but the bad thing is our diesel can lower down n bring problem for the peugeit 508GT... this is what my pug technician fren told me... that why i think abt 320d....

anyway F30 is nice car, but out off my budget... so maybe i will go Peugeot 508/508sw new car or 320d LCI (2011)...

fuel consumption is very subjective depending on driving style.. i used both cars for daily commute to work and got smtg like 500km for the 323 and abt 700km for the 320d from a full tank..
if it was up to me i would go with the 323 if your long rides involved rear seat passengers..

I am aware that u r not asking me, but sharing is caring i suppose.

On the highway, I average around 7-8 liters /100km cruising at 90-110kmh.

In the city, jam everywhere, I average around 10-12 liters/100km depending on the severity of the jam ( drive to KL vs drive around PJ ).

Diesel i believe around 5 - 7 liters/100km i believe, but i could be wrong. If u r interested in the Peugeot 508, i suppose comfort is all u are after, rather than outright speed and cornering ability of the Msport suspension. Even the non Msport suspension corners better than lots of cars in the market today. Its afterall a UDM.

In terms of speed, its not very much slower than a 508 GT. But turboed cars should be driven differently compared to a NA car.

now time all car also go for turbo n efficient engine... i will think properly which is i will go for... BMW of cos is branded n got status, but i worry abt the maintenance.... new model of BWM is totally out of my budget...
anyway thx ur time to give me advise, appreciate it....
