Just change the oil separator pipes. Whole set original RM 750.00 and labour RM150.00, total RM 900.00. Car feel more responsive and better oil consumption... Did it near Puchong area.

I went to BA & ask for atf oil for E60. There is ZF words on the bottle.

Just to share with the rest. Changed all 6 ignition coils today at WP Auto, Pandan Mewah. Total damages RM 102 x 6 units (Bosch) plus RM 80 labour.

Diagnosed two coils with problem. It's my choice to change the balance since the car already 7 years old and the mileage exceeded 190k km.

Mind sharing your E60 is M54 or N52 engine as I believe the coil has different price.

Its better to change all to get optimum performance and peace of mind. Sumore it is not too expensive.
Again it depend on how u treat your car.

Mine is M54 engine. Yes, you are correct, it's preventive measure since there were so many postings on similar problems. Also, to save me another trip, time plus other 'drama' of going to the mechanic again.

Hi.

Can anyone tell me where to get a cable connector for my rear lights. The connector is partially burn and becoming brittle. The connection is bad and off and on I get warnings on Fog lights not working or Brake lights not working. Have to adjust it again to stop the warning. Need to replace the connector. Any suggestions where to buy the parts or where i can just get it changed ?

2 days ago when heading back from KL to JB suddenly my screen shows engine over heat message and ask me to stop...i dont know what to do that time just stop at R&R and wait for 30 minutes and try start my car again. seems the message is gone i drive back to jb without any problem,but the next day drive to office not even 3 km the message pop up again this time i stop at the road side and call for towing.
After checking my mech said the water pump is very slow thats why the message always pop up.

Change Water hose 165.00
water hose switch 65.00
bmw coolant 56.00
upah 160.00

now already 2 days everything seems ok. Hope will not happen again.

i replaced my e39 water pump in march last year with a german plastic impeller pump for rm120.......upah....0 coz diy...he he

e60 water pump is an electrical/electronic type as compared to the mechanical type of the e39.

That is correct for magnesium engine E60 & E90. Need to be change around 70 to 80k km. M54 engine E60 is still share same water pump as E39

Wear n tear parts, u will feel like gas release from cabin. Indeed pipes leaking internally....

I changed mine, the E60 electrical water pump and the paid about the same price Rm1650. You can search back in this forum for exact pricing

Just change 4 tyres, size 245/40/R18 Michelin primacy HP at RM 1,075 each...x4, total is RM 4,300, including balancing only... Is the price ok???

Parts from BA Maluri:

8L of 5W-30 engine oil @ rm40/L = RM320
Oil filter = rm40
7L ATF oil @ rm47/L = 329
Pan + filter = RM316
Water pump = rm325
1.5L Coolant = rm33
Total damage = rm1363

Parts and labour @ Mroadster Pandan Indah:
5nos hex screw @2.50/ea = rm12.50
Inspection + reset = rm75
Flush + refill ATF oil = rm 100
Replace water pump = rm150
2L Rear axle lube @ rm30/L = rm60
Total damage = rm397.50 (paid rm390)

I am poorer by RM1760 driving my machine out of the workshop but a happier man knowing I have changed what I needed to change. The diesel engine is also much smoother plus the OBC shows much higher mileage now..
