Hah, important lesson learned....

That is why I always keep a close watch on work done by the mechanics, just to make sure they complete the job properly. Been thru it before. Most of the cock-ups on my rides resulted by work done by the juniors.... i.e. improperly tightened oil nuts and hoses, etc.

Yo tank34,

yeah you're right I have f#*@ them like hell for the cock-up. Already told Ah Meng i'm gonna hold HIM responsible if anything happens to my gearbox altho he kept saying that there will not be a problem.

And yeah really did paid RM1,100 for the lower arm. In fact was in MSpeed just now again cause noticed there is a knocking sound (which wasn't there before) coming from the front undercarriage (left and right) when i make a turn. Well they jack my ride up and tightened some nuts, and so far no noise oredi (and touch blardy wood).

Well this is what i mean, the 3 jokers at MSpeed apart from the 2 boses can be very very careless and really have to watch them do everything single thing....

means after the next 12.5km, i'll have to go b to AB for slaughtering n pay them another rm500 (200 for oil change, another 300 they masuk pocket).. :( ..

i noticed bout the oil cap too, they recommended castrol, but gives us shell instead... wat the heck man! maybe margin of profits for castrol is v low compared to shell n mobil.. jt guessing.. hehehehe...

AB is monopolising the market.. we need competitors for this stuff.. heard there will be new dealership comin into town by mid of the yr.. price war is v much appreciated.. :yahoo:

Bro, location of MSpeed has been mentioned before. Try to search for it... :)
Yup, its one of the good wshop to service your udm.

Bros,

Been reading a lot about M-Speed/Dr Meng aka Kenny. Is M-Speed the only place to go for good service? Any others somewhere near DU area? Heard there is one in Glenmarie, mechanic named Mat. Also heard thers is one in Sg Ara. Looking for somewhere nearer.. btw just bought a 2001 E46 325i.. was driving (and still having) a 1995 E36 325i..

not sure this is the right forum to comment. however, just my 2cents/experience so far. Dunno you agree anot. All formen/bengkel are same (wanna make money). it's just that you lucky anot that time. "tiger will get sleepy sometimes" when repairing cars. All bosses got highly experience or certificate, but at the end, pass to the staff repair. bosses only pickup the phone most of the time and entertainment you when you arrive. sometimes I'll voice up to the boss "can you repair my car by yourself without ask your staff?". also, what can we do is, spend time to look them repair rather than drop the car and collect later. this is more secure for your car that wont get and troublesome. just same as working in company, when your boss not around, will you work hard?

Services

Yea, the services is very important if u plan to use the car for long period. Or in other explanation is until finish pay the bank loan  Thus I suggest to have a minor service every 5,000km which required around RM 500 bucks and the major services every 40,000km or equivalent to RM 1,500 in average. My advice, please stagger your services schedule and try to avoid overlap with your insurance and road tax renewal.

before serv i don't feel anything wrong. after serv gear box sensor and water temp light up. then another workshop told me they use the oil which doens't suit for E46 and the gear box might "fall sick". i was totally like what the hell happenning.

Is it gear oil very important to gear box and cannot simply use? i don't know about the car... i feel myself kena Cheated.

Pls help, thanks anyway...

Seems like you spent quite a bit on flushing and protectants....I was advised against using protectant/supplements....when I bought my e46 328i 2 yrs back, I changed all oils as well but didn't flush or add any pro/supp...in fact was quite worried changing the ATF oil but after doing so, the car performed much better and even a fault in the 2nd gear also disappeared with the oil change....I spoke to a gearbox specialist who happened to be doing an overhaul and he did advise me to be careful when changing the ATF oil as he had seen problems occur when the wrong oil was used....not sure where you did your ride but was it with a reputable bimmer specialist....you did use a specialist I hope....from your repairs it sounds that you may not have done so....I spent 5K on repairs when I got my ride but it was mainly on lubes, brakes/discs, suspension, hoses and belts,etc...
cheers and good luck anyways...
