Yo guys.......below is my latest dmaage in Mspeed:-

idling valve - RM750

gearbox oil RM600\

gearbox oil coller - RM680

wanted to do a total flush but Dr Meng was busy and forgot about it and instead just chnaged the oil for me.

been a long time since i posted anything here.
had my e46 316ise done for the clutch plate change and and the cam shaft sensor replaced ,
the service charge alone was a whooping 700rm and the whole costs of things ,... rm 2600.99 ( they cant resist putting the 0.99 everytime ) , just to add more salt to the wound ...have i been screwed or is this the standard luxury of owning a bmw serviced by abm ( kuantan branch in particular !! )

badmd.. just changed my camshaft sensor 2 weeks ago.. RM350.. bought the part and fitted it in. No labour charge.

I did MSpeed's software upgrade too.. HUGE difference.. psychologically lar, that is.. Hehe..

thats ok if your logistics are around klang valley or the west coast ,your choices are much to be envied , as for me being in kota bharu , the only nearest authorised abm is in kuantan,..i do not know any whereabouts of anyone of being a bmw specialists within this area ,..no choice maa..
my uk specs car air conditioning may need some servicing soon , not cold laa inspite of setting 19-20deg.
any word of advice from the sifu'ss out there? much appreciated thank you.

Ahmeng suggested to update my software and I agreed.

I watch him did the upgrade and he seems to have problem doing it. He called the equipment's principal and he also having problem to install it. The error message keeps coming out. After a while he told me everything is ok software upgraded and I paid for it.

I still tak puas hati so I went to another shop (BMworld) and they sincerely told me that my car software could not be upgraded because my engine number is not in the software list and they tried other methods and still could not upgrade my software.

Wheter ahmeng upgrades my car's software or not is now a question. Please don't bang me because of this because I know lots of you keen on ahmeng's place.

hmmmmmmmmm, yeah, alot of the member go to ah meng, but he seems to be a honest guy. or mayb he charge u for other repairs that he sum up minus the software and u thought he charge u for the software

Why dont you bring it back to ah meng again? Let him check it to confirm.

I just did mine and it went well. No problem at all.

After your s/w has been upgraded, run the diagnostic check again and the computer should show the date of the software upgrade.

brothers in beemer, did shell gold fully synthetic oil suitable for my engine type? can you guys recommend me with other type of engine oil since i hate it so much with shell (dulu aku tak menang peraduan lukis logo shell tahun 1999)... how about selenia? or other fully synthetic oil...

Try Castrol Edge 5W 40 Fully Synthetic...

BMW always recommends Castrol!

It has done a fairly low mileage and the current mileage is 64,600km - this is due to the fact that I am overseas on work for 20 days a month and will be based overseas for 2 yrs in August 07. The car is very well-maintained only by AB in Glenmaire. Paintwork is so-so after a few years due to the local weather and as a local-assembled car. Overall the car is in mint condition and esp the interior is still very new as its hardly been used and hardly any passengers.

My rear right power window broken last Wednesday....Call Dr Kenny of Mspeed specialist.... He fixed it very quick n efficient, less than 1/2 hour... satisfied... but make me poorer by RM380... waaaaaa!!!!

1) HIREV F-9001 5W/50 Full Synthetic oil 5 litre x RM44.50 = RM222.50
2) Oil Filter RM55.00
3) Air Filter RM105.00
4) LAbour Charge RM35.00

the price is it competitive ? any one can recommend better price one ?
