My Visit to Dr Meng of MSpeed yesterday,

Coolant RM50

Hose connecting the Radiator RM135

Update software RM200

Next visit (month end to do a ATF change)

Will post my detail billing on my ATF fluid change and oil Sum gasket leak . Anyway, when I was going thru my AB bill on the last service, realise they use 5 liter (318, 2.0L) so I call AB and ask why 5 liter, they bla bla this and that but after my last service after 10K km, when to outside specialist, use only 4 liter(ESSo 5w/40) no need reset and hope it will last the balance 15k on the monitor( still keeping my service record in AB ) . Waiting for my clerk to gather the bill then repost. Anyway, my left rear is higher than my right rear, what do you think the problem is ? Cars still drive OK, could it be the absober ?

Service my e46 today.

Oil Filter - 35
Helix Plus 15W-50 - 5 Ltr - 110.00
Labour - 35

Total - 180

did my tire allgnment yesterday at hup shun sunway and the cost are as follows:-

allignment and tire rotating - RM40

adjusting of chambers - RM80

total RM120.

Brake Fulid warning came up last afternoon, didn't know what it was until I refer to the manual then realise that reccomended change every 3 years so when down to Top Power, ( JB, taman Iskandar )
Boss did it for me himself, Flush out old fluid from all 4 wheels and front engine chamber. Only RM58 original BMW brake fluid All included.

Bros + Sifus,

Need advises on the differences between 'control arm bush', 'front lower arm' and 'front lower arm bush'. My ride started to make 'kerreot' sound each time I turned the steering. My mech advised to change lower arm. Cost = RM400 each. He said cannot change individual parts because each comes in a set. Will this be sufficient to rectify the problem? Anything else I should look out for?

Cheers.....

Sent car in to MB to check:

1) Coughing when starting, erratic idling - suspected loss of vacuum or problem with fuel pump. Was right, mechanic called back and said fuel pump kaput liaw. RM1k to change both pumps - is the price about there?

2) For a few weeks now, the car gives out a grinding sound, coming from under the car towards the rear axle, when reversing. This morning, the car was silent as a mouse and mechanic said he had his staff driving the car forward and backwards the whole morning to listen out for the sound and.... NOTHING! Sheesh! Any ideas what may be causing the sound? Could it be like Daan's problem?

Thx.

Daan, I changed the rear axle of my1st E46 318(1.9) Twice, courtesy of AB. The noise was almost from the time I first had the car, in 2000. It was a humming sound, more pronounced at night, when the surroundings are quiet. Maybe, you should have it checked out with them. These parts are supposed tgo last a lifetime, I think.

Unless of course, your car has hit something at the bottom, and you've driven the life out of it. This is my opinion and I am very particular about noises in the car.

My car is grey import so AB don't care about me leh.............:(

I noticed when I drive faster, there's no sound, so I guess to solve the problem I need to drive fast?

Seriously, does anyone know where to get a recon unit?
