Im just repaired my bimmer today in Tmn Mayang due to gearbox oil leaking.(E46.318i)

1. timing oil seal (45)
2. timing cover gasket rubber (55)
3. flywheel oil seal (72)
4. oil sump gasket (115)
5. timing cover gasket steel (180)
6. Labor (650)
7. Denso Iridium spark plug 4pcs (160) "beli sendiri and formen help installed"

total: 1117.00


By the way, are you guys normally drop ur car in workshop then ciao or wait till finish repair ur car?

650 for Labor??? How many manhour did the guy spent on the car?

From their explaination, take this and that out(bla..bla..), and especially that one (bla.. bla..) difficult to take out. almost spent a day to complete all job done. im kinda not really satisfied with the labor charged but maybe others shop might same like charge gua..(unknown).

Does anyone elsy have any feeling on labor thing? Personally, I feel it's very high. Even if they spend the WHOLE day fixing up your car, 650 per manday are the rates for ED of public listed company.

labour charge = 44.
Filt Element = RM48.96
Filter = 217.62
Cleaner = 11.31

total 640.84

jurid brake pad e46 @ 135 for both front, didnt know jurid is under honeywell now (or all the while is under honeywell?) y did they camfered new brakepads direct from factories nowadays? cannot tahan coz too many exchange because of noisy pads?

Hey Soti,
650 for labour charge is mighty high. More often than not we are paying for the workshops incompetency. The jobs you described is not major. Immagine what it would cost you if it were a major job. I've done the same job before together with total service of the car and my workshop charged me only 380. But then again I drive a E36, so I could be wrong.

True, I had done job to replace ALL engine gasket in my e36 for 380. Just look at the parts to labor ratio, it's way out of propotion.

where are the best specialist center that cheaper and afford able that can make servis and o/haul my cute bmw e46 320i.

try chi in mayang- stuttgart auto i think.. maybe abit mahal but they good fellas..
speak to chi first for best pricing.. if you ayat him sure can murah abit

need some pricing and whereabout advice to change the e46 window rubber seal, front and rear doors. m-speed charges rm300+ just for 1 front door. i'm in klang valley
