Tis morning while on the way to work, i noticed my RPM flatuating when stop at the trafic light. The car vibrate a bit also. While at the second traffic light, RPM flatuate between 500 to 1000. I quickly went to the office, check and reply urgent email than went to my mechanic.

Initial computer analysis review failure of the oxygen sensor before catalatic convertor, my mechanic said sometimes, if the hoses leaks, it will give this kind of signal also. Upon opening it up, it is true a hose is leaking, had it replaced and the car is fine now.

1. Hoses - RM 110
2. Hose clip RM 5 x 4 = RM 20
3. Labor - RM 80
Total RM 210.

I did mine at Mega Benz Solution, it's the location for the old Sarawak Car Care Center. U have to go in from Proton side and drive to the back.

Hi NKTOB,
I did a thorough chked-up at Seong Hoe. Didnt mention anything on fuel pump or fuel pump floater. Instead they recommend to change fuel feed & return hoses (2nos). Squashed due to road hump scratch. It was good for a week, then recurr. SOS pls.

What did the GT1 error fault?

Do u get this "Mixture-Fuel, Lean"....?

If yes, it could either start from the under bonnet e.g. air mass flow sensor, ignition coils, hoses...to undercarriage e.g. O2 sensors - short & long, petrol filter...or fuel pump/fuel pump floater...

I had similar problems b4, the fault was the fuel pump floater...cost me approx RM300++

NKTOB, I'm not too sure, the last chk-up was done 4 mths ago. I'm thinking of getting another round of chk-up next week and identify the root cause with one eye on the fuel pump/fuel pump floater. Thanks for the tips.

where is m-speed? is it a bmw workshop? or workshop kedai kayu?

MSpeed USJ is a BMW Specialist workshop, not the bawah pokok type of workshop...

Many forummers have been there b4..anyway, once again...

Direction :

Go towards USJ Summit, take left till u see Giant on ur left @ traffic light junction.

Take the right turn @ traffic light juction, go straight ( u'll see row of factories on ur left )

Next traffic light, straight still until u see Wisma Texchem ( white building on ur left )

Turn left into the light industrial area, take the next first right junction. The road will lead u to the end with a left curve.

U'll then see MSpeed USJ on ur left!

Go ask for Ah Meng there...England name, Kenny!
