E46 Part and Service Cost II

Called up BA to check on prices of certain parts for next session of preventive maintenance:

--Crankshaft sensor RM185 (VDO)
--Camshaft sensor (intake) RM208 (Vaico/Hella)
--Camshaft sensor (exhaust) RM170 (Vaico/Hella), RM377 (BMW)
--Alternator RM750 (Bosch)
--O2 sensors (Pre-cat) #1 - RM343 (Bosch)
--O2 sensors (Pre-cat) #2 - RM387 (Bosch)
 
Century Marathoner MF DIN66. RM330 (trade in old water battery).
Finally my E46 is with the precise battery size :)

Care to share where you get the battery from? Any warranty?
 
1 year warranty (1 to 1 exchange)....016-9105095 Ken..is a friendly guy...
The shop is just behind Spectrum Ampang...single storey shoplot with Century Signboard...They are providing door step delivery service too :)
Infact..they highly recommend a battery brand KOBA...according to them it is very good..but price is around RM400-RM500..

is the size for the E46 using Din66 or Din100? i used to use Din 66 but the shope advice me to use Din100 and payed rm475 which is reasonable enough

im compiling a list of repairs since i got the car Jan 2013, will update it once i have the time or when i remember :D

Now the car is at Eurosence Cheras perdana behind my house doing some major fixing on the arms, bush etc. will update it later once the bill comes
 
Din 66 is just about right for 6 potters... Din 100 if u have a more powerful amp... if no installing Din 100 would be overkill..plus the alternator for 6 potters cant charge it fully to 100A anyway...most alternators max is 87A...hence Din 88 would be more than enough with a standard amp :)
 
Ravenol TSi Semi Synthetic 10W40 (4L) = RM110
Original Oil Filter = RM34
Labor = RM20

is the first time i feel engine oil make different..Ravenol is amazing :)
 
My car had a leak coming from the vanos oil pipe
Went to mech , got it replaced
Oil pipe - rm120
Labor - rm80

Top overhaul is completed. . Here the report

ERing Top Overhaul repair kit from BA RM650
Victor Reinz engine bolts (must change) RM120
Workmanship RM600 (but I can't name the shop as it's a special price for me)
Rethread sparkplug thread at mechine shop incl in above


New engine oil ravenol 15-40 semi RM155 including flush
Engine cleaner RM90
BMW ori NGK spark plug RM40
BMW ori coolant RM30

Vacuum pump o ring RM20
Back plate (coolant) RM45
Chain rail guard plastic RM50


However if u r looking for a shop to do the similar, you may go to Hoo huat at Segambut.
 
I ve done some repair also last week, will share the details soon. But why u can replace oring for vacuum pump? Haha. I was told that vacuum pump leak, need to replace the pump, cannot change oring only. Hence changed the pump for rm600....got slaughtered? Lol
