Thanks guys...I have changed tires from falken to nexen to michellin ps3 to good year assy 2. So it is not the tires.

I have changed to brand new original shocks, lower arm (twice due to wrong diagnostic), and rubber pad (the rear only), still the same. So now on bilstein b8 and eibach (loving it) but would prefer H & R.

Another question bro, do you keep the tyre dimension the same between changes? Just trying to rule out that your sidewall is okay.

sorry mods to trash this thread with other discussion. please move as necessary.

Tx bro for the link. I was advised by the tiremen to change my tires. So from 225/45/18 to 225/45/17. Then they said it is the directional tires, so i changed to PS3 and with 225/45/17. then they say it is the sidewall i.e profile too low (although 225/45/17 is the recommended size for the car) so I change to 215/50/17 (dam ugly but comfortable) still the same. So now have GY Assy2 with 225/45/17. love the tires!

Bro seems that you tried a lot of combi already.. hmmph. Mine tramlines as well, currently running 225/40/18 and tyres are somewhat stretched. Planning to go wider to reduce kerbing issue and taller hoping to reduce tramlining. Cheers.

You can hardly get a new steering rack. The one purpotedly sold as new for RM3k plus is actually recond from overseas, supposedly better quality compared to the units recond locally which can u cant around RM1 k plus with three months warranty. Alternatively you can get fro chop shop around RM1k with one week warranty.

I cant give you a warranty but what I am offering is actually better than warranty albeit only for 2 weeks. If after you install the steering rack and discover that your problem is not due to your steering rack, you can return the rack to me and I will refund you, For warranty to work, you need to show it is leaking or that it is damaged within the warranty period. For my offer, if you are not happy for whatever reasons, I will just bagi balik ur money.

I got the used steering rack from the mechanic at RM1.1 k

Hi Friend and UDm fellows:

Just to share I have recently repaired recon set e90 DCS active steering rack and ABS pump in one of the reliable workshop. Thumb up. It's 1-1 exchange with 6 month warranty. Really save me tons of cost of repair steering rack. Happy satisfied with the service.

Do give me a call 012 -202-8520 if you have face the identical technical issue or need more information. More than happy to meet up and recommend the workshop

Cheers.

Hey bro, Sorry but to be frank I am not quite clear . I only knew they took my whole radiator out and when it came back in it looked like a new one going in..

Today is my first day of owning an E46. As usual, went to work early and reached office at 615 am. I noticed the oil indicator popped up after refueling my car. Decided to let it be after reading the manual as it says i still can travel not more than 50km with the indicator on but i got panicked when i saw something was leaking.

So, i drove back to my dealer's affiliated service centre. They suspected prob on the oil level sensor. In addition, they also checked the coolant compartment as the indicator was on too. They replaced the sensor and:

Oil level sensor: RM 250
To suck air from the coolant compartment: RM 80
Credit card interest charge: 2%

Total: RM 336.60 on my first day of ownership!
