How to Reset Oil Mileage Service

Just want to share the well known info regarding how to reset your oil mileage after service without plug the computer or Reset Device. Commonly this step can be done in E46 and E39. No sure about the other models.

This consist of 4 easy steps:

This is the mileage clock that always appear when you turning the key to position 1 before ignition.

1) Off the key.
Press and hold the left button. And you'll see the display as image above


***Description at below of the pictures

AND

2) Stay holding the left button, and turn the key to position number 1.
You'll see the "test.... 1". Keep holding and it'll blinking.

3) Release the left button during blinking moment, and press it one more time (as enter) right after releasing the button.

4) Turn off the key, and upon turn it ON, you'll see the oil service mileage already reset to 25000 km.

Thanks for sharing mate, sure can save some RM for that..If my memory serves me correctly, connecting pin 14 and 17 in the diagnostic socket can also do the resetting..correct me if i'm wrong..i think i've read somewhere in the net
