E39 - Manual Trans

Guys,Hv u come across any E39 with manual trans ? I thot I read somewhere (in the old forum) that somebody did a conversion.Conversion is a bit tricky with all the ASC, DSC whatever C lah ... Maybe, it's abt time to move to E39 ?

In Europe almost all models of BMW's are offered in manual, except for the 7 series, I believe. The E39 had a 540i manual which was using the 4.4 v8 engine - SWEET!

I'm not quite sure about this, but didn't the earliest E39 520i 2.0 sold in M'sia had a manual version?

Buy parts first ie 6 speed trans, followed by the SC

Sure there's 530i with manual transmission. Quite rare even here in the UK, but one just came up for sale

Thats a manual which is quite rare hence the price (Thats actually expensive). You can get a 530i sport auto with cream leather and 18" m parallel wheel and satnav/tv (factory fitted), a good one would be around £6500, but you can get one as low as £4000 with the same spec.

I'm really hoping to buy one later in the year, and then add paddle shift and quad exhaust. hehe.
