E39 after market head light

Dear all,

I come across this item on mudah.com and I am considering buying it.

However, I was told by my trusted mechanic not to buy Taiwan made head light as the cover will get dull in a short period of time.

Anyone has experience any experience with Taiwan made head light ?? Thanks in advance for your comments.

I think the original hella brand is cheaper than this taiwan made one

I think original will cost you 1k each....nothing beat an original, but to be fair, for Taiwan made, the cover can be replace...

Go and see it first, most taiwan made one looks shite on the car, honestly.

taiwan made ok but ring for "angel eyes" are bulb lit.
the ori is optical.

Many thks for all the replies.

I have seen an E39 with headlight as bright as those on F10 and this rings are very nice and narrow like those on F10.

Has anyone used those Taiwan made before ? Will it give error message on the MID ?

Same as Haywire's comment. Done that before. Water seeped through as well. Not worth it.
