Hi all the beemer, Have some 1 face the petro indicator meter spoil? my 1 always show at the lighting point( no petro) i ask mechanic it ned rm5++. for repair? does it so expensive? can some 1 advise? Thx...:top:

It can be 2 things...
1) fuel level sensors in the fuel tank
2) meter cluster problem.

AFAIK, there are 2 sensors in the fuel tank, 1 on each sides... If it's confirmed the problem is due to the sensors, then RM500 seem to be a reasonable price.

RM5 to solder back the wire at the fuel sender.

agree with jarance. had the same problem before. paid the mechanic rm10 to remove the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank, and i soldered the wire myself. still working after 2 years. the mechanic also asked me to change the 'thing' (about rm5xx).

Dannisboo, check the wire connecting to the fuel sender sensor. I had the same problem last time coz the wire broke. Soldered it back once with original length but it broke again. Then Jarance helped me to solder back a longer wire and it worked. Still works till now, thanks Jarance.

When was the last time u changed ur fuel pump? If its been awhile, better change d fuel pump as the fuel level sensor is attached to d pump (shud cost u ard RM500++). My fuel pump failed me 2 yrs ago w/o warning.
