E30 M40 1991 ,lowered with Koni shocks, shod with 225/45/17 tires has serious offset/fenders scrapping issues and harsh rides.Tires 32 psi.
With 215/45/17 tires, also still has this fenders scrapping issues - but only when making aggresive cornering or u-turn on uneven surface or hitting potholes/speedhumps with the tires/streering at max. angle to the fenders. But acceptable ride with Yokohoma tires, 30 psi allround.
My options : 1. Changing to 205/50/16 tires
2.Revert back to stock std. springs.
3.Shod them with 205/45/17 tires.
My main consideration will be on comfort n nice to look at .
Any suggestions ?

pardon me. what really different between 225/45/16 with 225/50/16.evilnickwong;522143 said:That's because 225/50/16 is way oversized. Compared to the correct 205/50/16, it's about 2cm larger in diameter.
For 16, you should use 205/50/16 or 225/45/16.
