E30 fellas, r u running the right tyre size?

hi all!

just like to share info, my e30 (m20b20) is using 215/55/16.
it doesnt scrap my fenders even the car is fully loaded w/ 5 ppl in it.
however, the car is slow to accelerate. nontheless, can jalan w/ confidence plus
cruising is nice as the tyres besar macam belon.


i think of lowering my car w/ eibach & change the rims to 15" w/ 195/55/15.
then the car can accelerate a bit quicker.
but my concern is the "oil sump tank". i need to get an oil sump guard.
where can i get one, anyone?

spec size tire for e30 are

14" = 195/65/14 or 195/60/14
15" = 205/55/15 or 195/60/15
16" = 205/50/16 or 215/45/16

my friends using 17" wheel with 215/50 but the tires never bump to body.
wonder if this is the right size for e30 too?

hi to all bmw rider! i am newbie just register to bmwclubmalaysia.com, my e30 currently with 17inch acs rim loaded with 215/50/17 ( rear ) and 225/45/17 ( front )

Hi, im using e30 (m20b25)

For your info, i have had no problems with these specs

Front : 215/45/17 (Falken)
Rear : 235/45/17 (Michelin)

No modifications needed.

How would 215/45/17 front & 235/45/17 rear for '83 E30 320i affect the car fender?? I think 235 not fit to my rear e30,must little knoking for rear fender & 215/45 front will sangkut with plastic madgad when cornering (from my friend car)
