No need continue for non believers.

For you, Kinaka - please see Master Zog's car. I have the same mod. Take a ride and you know how much the E30 brakes can be helped.....

Of course a disclaimer - with POWER, must come control......foot control for effective safe braking. Those who slam will be slammed....( the brakes )
hey i believe man,

have tried the car.

but i don't understand why it need a T-Joint.

kinaka....

sure E38? the one I have has DOUBLE DIAPHRAM and hence smaller in diameter......its surely not a LUCAS.....

Ask my sifu, Master Zog.......
yes ar... remove it from the e38 by myself... sigh...

a 7-series below the newest one (duno what model).

Could it be from a diff model E38? Maybe 728i and 740i have diff brake setup?

Actually, after changing the rears to discs, new brake lines (steel braided) and fluids, the braking is much improved, though can't compare to new cars. Adequate for a 320i.

Btw guys, how much does it costs to get a full set of rear discs brakes for my E30? Mine comes with drum brakes for the rear wor. Is it easily available & may i know how much roughly does it costs in the market now? :)

Thanx!

just checked with the ETK online.

Double chamber booster is from E32 (black colour).

saw one double chamber booster (silver colour) on E39 in the chop shop

mostly E38 750iL also using single chamber brake booster.

correct me if i'm wrong.

This is the part number for the tandem brake servo:
34331161486

Supposedly a Girling part although there could have been more than one manufacturer.

OSF,
I rather be overbraked than under.......at least then I can learn to be in control. No brakes means no control, no matter how good you are....or how good your pads, braided lines and soft tyres are cos its a complete system and all adds to an improvement.

At least that's my 2 cents.....

Kin,
I also dunno but my sifu tells me its off an E38......Girling part and double diaphram thats for sure ( there's two seams around the body...). Brake reservoir also bigger.....

Please see the yellow sub to know what it is......and I think I did post a picture before also.

t joint cos original master cylinder has 2 ports for front brakes ( left & right ).......with new master cylinder there's only one front port ( since its for ABS model ) so need t joint to join your front left & right hydraulic lines......simple and functions identically.

aiya... forgotten my beloved e30 no ABS.

my wrong my wrong..

i think the rear T-joint should be able to fit. will check it out for spare one tomorrow.

Thanks for remind me again.... :)
