All my brake components are in good working order, so please limit your suggestions to brake upgrade options.

Am trying to avoid going to 5 lug due to the relative complication and cost.

Please help, the lack of stopping power in emergency braking situations is shocking!
Hey if cost is a factor for brake upgrade might I suggest you learn to anticipate and leave enough room so you don't have to brake suddenly.

Now if you're going to track the car then I suggest you do your thresthold breaking bofore entering any corner.
When you get better and are more familiar with the car then you can play with trail braking. Which is a more advance technique of braking while going into the turn. Very dangerous if you don't know how cause one can spin out very easily.

I have to agree with you on the braking in E30 being sub par. But we're dealing with a 20 year old car with old technology. Maybe you ought to upgrade to a better pad that bites harder.

does your e30 have rear dics???....

the brake booster is one way to go...value for money..

What are the parts needed? Servo, what about the master cylinder?

Anyone have the part numbers? Off which E32 model (if there are any differences)?

What difference did this make to the braking performance?
though i'm not familiar with e32 brakes, but i'm doing something similar with my e36.

Best to get the servo and it's matching master cylinder & fluid tank. Not recommended to modify your stock m/c to a different servo, or vice versa. Your brakes are not something you wanna mess up.

Jules

are your E38 brake servo and brake master cylinder substantially more bulky than the stock E30 items?

Was it a straight bolt on or were there some mods involved?

Cheers

eh...next time dun call me ah..

Straight bolt in, slight mod need on hydraulic line and clevis length. do a search for the thread where I gave more info. otherwise seek Master Zog's advice.....feed him pork first!

Yup, no massive mods needed to bolt on the E38/32 servo.

For BrokeMyBack Zoggee, you need plenty of pork to keep him happy! Ask me how I know!!!

Who complaint E30 brake suckss ???

This is a E38 brake booster & master cylinder looks like.

This is the thread started by Mr. Jules...

Mr Jules,

Thankssss

Kinaka - can you kindly measure the diameter of the E38 servo?

I have space constraints.
Hello

Kinaka, anybody home?

Wheres the boy when you want him

kinaka....

sure E38? the one I have has DOUBLE DIAPHRAM and hence smaller in diameter......its surely not a LUCAS.....

Ask my sifu, Master Zog.......

No need continue for non believers.

For you, Kinaka - please see Master Zog's car. I have the same mod. Take a ride and you know how much the E30 brakes can be helped.....

Of course a disclaimer - with POWER, must come control......foot control for effective safe braking. Those who slam will be slammed....( the brakes )
