..... the question now is.... will the police do something about this & with positive results? Or is it just gonna be another "rekod statement/report" thing.

well the guys in blue are lazy ...no benefit for them to just find these culprits ....

Unless the number plate revolves a case with criminal records ....

so it's gonna be just a record statement follow-up with some stupid QA ... that's norm

No. 1 road menace = Mat Rempit
No. 2 road menace = bus drivers who cucuk & drive like they rule the road
No. 3 road menace = lorry drivers who cucuk & drive like they rule the road
.... i know ..off topic :D

My friend use to do this, whenever he encounter unpleasent events or road bullies, he will take out his digital camera n snap the picture of them n their vehicle. If they still provoke or following, then drive straight to the police station. Most of the time it works.

All this talk of carrying weapons in the car for self-defense and you guys forget you are driving a 1500kg weapon that's way deadlier than any sword or knife and comes with armor plate to boot. By the same stroke, getting out of it to fight is like laying your weapon and armor down on the ground.

Remember that ignoring provocation or driving away is still the best option. But if cornered and genuinely in a life-threatening situation, don't hesitate to use your car to defend yourself.

Ary, even if the prosecutor's office took up the case (not so likely), any decent lawyer would be able to prove your friend was acting in self-defense and therefore justified. Of course that is assuming a fair court and none of the "complications" that sometimes arise in this country. Either way though, better to be defending yourself in a court of law with a strong case than lying in a pool of blood on the roadside eh?

so sad to hear that :( :( :(

neway watchout n drive safe guys....

wish if there is SUPERMAN or BATMAN to save ppl frm all of this....( hehehehehehe )

cheers

Well put... points to ponder

same thing happened to me in JB quite some time back. Some guys were following me on a bike at 2am and i stopped the car thinking i had provoked the unknowingly, hoping to settle things. did i piss someone unknowingly, i wondered. stupid move...

i got my windscreen smashed and a parang pointed at me. guy spoke to me something in mandarin and when i told he i didn't understand , he spoke to me in perfect english demanding my wallet and handphone. freakin dickhead!

i had minor cuts on my face. made a police report only to be told i was lucky i still had my car with me and the officer also added that this is very normal in JB! (sorry JB guys)

anyways, the next night...jolly katak again...
